I used this to help me dig a trench in some very hard and dense clay subsoil. I tried shovels, shale bars, and even roto tillers, but this tool proved to be the gamechanger and back saver at the same time. The ground is super hard and full of stone and shale near me, so digging a trench for some drainage pipe was proving to be backbreaking work. I could have rented a trenching machine or backhoe, but the job really wasn't big enough to justify the expense. With this tool I was able make headway so much faster than the other techniques mentioned above. It would also be a great toll for removing tile from subfloors, and cutting through tree roots I believe.
