The adapter allows an SDS Max tool to be used with an SDS+ power source. The problem is the adapter absorbed about 50% of the impact. Went back to an SDS+ chisel and got the job done much faster than with the SDSMAX chisel. The adapter works OK with non impact tools.

Some bits are only well driven by an SDS Max, so SDS Plus to SDS Max adapters are rare because they aren't advisable for the application at best and ineffective at worst. BUT, for those of you that get into situations where only SDS Max bits are offered for a particular solution, and all you have is SDS Plus and need to make do, this bit will let you put an SDS Max bit on an SDS Plus hammer drill.

It's a very heavy duty adapter from Plus to Max SDS Bits.Using the adapter, which fits just fine, opens-up the amount of tools you can use with your Plus device. Just realize that you're having to move a lot more mass with this adapter, and your Plus device needs to be pretty darn stout to be effective.Otherwise, this is a pretty good deal, especially if there's only one or two Max bits you want to use.

falls apart quick. Should have had a lock washer to hold the bearing spring sleeve in place. Easy fix but it should be factory supplied. Great tool otherwise

I thought this YOSIGHT SDS+ to SDS-Max adapter would greatly enhance my ability to use other tools with my Ridgid 18v rotary hammer. Not so much. This thing is huge! I'll try to use an analogy to describe the problem. Because of the additional mass that this tool adds, it overpowers the tool that drives it. It would be akin to those donuts that baseball players put on their bats to warm-up before batting. Imagine if they left the donut on their bat while trying to bat. Yeah you get the point. This may work for some very specific use-cases where you don't have a whole lot of extra mass to hammer but I think it is very limited due to the size of this tool. 3/5 stars is about as high as I can recommend.
