These are by far the best reamers I've had to date. They've cut my work time in HALF because they're so well made - in other words, the diamond coatings are laid on with the right kind of glue, and are of a large enough grit size that I have not had to switch to a new reamer yet after using them for over a week already. They make quick work of enlarging bead holes (I've been using them on both wood and plastic beads so far.)Even on the plastic beads, which usually clogged up my other old reamers, these do a great job. I don't have to stop every few minutes to clean off the plastic dust (it usually melts on to the reamer, and that makes it all the more difficult to clean off.)These were $4 for a 10 pack, so I'm very happy. Now if I could find the same quality and price in 6mm sizes, I'd been all set :)

Now an essential part of my beading kit - so glad to have purchased. These are very fine and sharp so be careful with use as small beads can break or chip if bored with too large a force. Would purchase again and from this vendor for fast shipping.

What I really love is the price of these, They sometimes are a bit too small to fit into my drill but I solve this by taking scotch tape and wrapping around the base of the bit only once. Snip off any tape that hangs over the edge. I can put it in my drill bit holder and ream away!

These drill bits were completely unsatisfactory. I have been drilling pearls for years and never have I had such poor drill bits! They overheated very quickly and broke one by one. Very disappointing!

I love these reamers! They come to a very fine point and are wonderful for bead reaming (I use an electric bead reamer). I have a set of them from Oct '13 which measure .65 mm small end/tip tapering to 1.70 mm (plus or minus/grit only). From a Nov '14 order, however, they measure .65 mm small end (ok) tapering to 2.00 mm (.30 mm difference/not ok). I don't understand the discrepancy unless it's manufacturing variation. The tip is the same, but the thickest part of the grit is now bigger in diameter. It doesn't sound like much, but when I'm reaming a long bead, I want to reach way into the bead with the reamer without increasing the outside hole so much or maybe even cracking the bead. I ordered 3 sets in Nov '14, and all 3 sets were of the increased size. I ordered 3 sets thinking they'd be the former size and was hoping to stock up. I ream from both sides of the bead so am not using the whole length of the reamer, but the increased tapering is really disappointing. Also, in the Nov '14 order, the tips were sticking slightly out of the openings in the slotted plastic pouch (one tip was broken off) instead of being inserted tip down as in the Oct '13 pouch (no tipsbroken). One more thing, there was a gooey, messy, greasy gunk on the outside of the plastic pouches (front and back) that was a devil to remove (91% isopropyl alcohol and Contractors' Solvent saved the day!). I wish I could go back to the smaller diameter, but I haven't had any luck in finding these again. I hate to give such a low rating. They are still wonderful at the tip for very delicate reaming, but as they start getting too thick as they taper, I will have restricted use due to that fact.

These do not have handles like in the picture! It is misleading, it is just the tips. I am a little sad because I have nothing to hold on to. At the same time these are really good tips they grind gemstone bead holes bigger really well, but I have no grip. Where do you buy the handle that takes these attachments?

I am amazed that you can buy this quality for 40 cents a unit. That is a great value. Also, this size can be used to increase and clear .5mm holes. You have to flip the bead of course and work from both sides, but it is very easy and the hole quality is smooth. I used these to clear mismatched drill holes on rather expensive opal beads. Not a single bead was cracked or chipped, so I am very pleased with the fine abrasive quality of this too. I did all my work by hand, so none of my comments can be applied to the performance of this tool in a high speed rotary application.

Este es un buen set de escariadores para limar, devastar o abocardar, muy útil en joyería y relojería.
