Seal Mate Fork Seal Cleaning Tool

Seal Mate Fork Seal Cleaning Tool

Seal Mate Fork Seal Cleaning Tool

Seal Mate is a tool designed to fix leaking fork seals, on any dirt bike or street bike. Many motorcycle shops charge upwards of 300 to replace your fork seals, in most cases your fork seals are leaking due to dirt and debris stuck between the seals. Seal Mate can safely remove the dirt in under 5 minutes.

Seal Mate Removes Debris From Leaking Fork Seals

Seal Mate Removes Dirt & Mud From Fork Seals

Leaking fork seals are caused from dirt and debris getting trapped in your fork seals. Seal Mate removes the trapped dirt holding your seal open, allowing your seals to reseal.

I recently just got my first bike, a 2014 Honda CBR500R, second hand. Upon riding for the first week, I noticed a small amount of oil leaking out of my right fork leg. Before deciding to spend $200+ on a new fork seal (with labor), I decided to give the SealMate a shot. I was shocked, to say the least, with the results. With less than 5 minutes total of cleaning, spraying a little brake clean, and pumping the forks, I watched my 10 year old seal come back to life! I have ZERO leaks as of right now. I’m not saying this is a permanent fix. I’m sure my seals will need replaced within the next couple months/years, but before you go spend a small fortune on new seals, try cleaning them out first!

They do not work if the seals are ruined, but if there is dirt between the seal and fork slider, use this tool to pull out the offending dirt granules. Make sure and remove the outer seal first, then use it on the actual seal. I have used this tool several times on different dual sport bikes and have successfully stopped leaks without removing the fork tube from the bike. You may need to add fork oil if it has been leaking for awhile. Also, make sure your brake pads haven't been saturated with fork oil. Can be used on the trail and it is easy to pack. Potential cheap fix!

I had a bad looking leak on my USD forks. This little tool saved me hundreds of dollars.

Good product, just a little hard for me to use due to limited access under my full fairing on the Gold Wing. I'm sure it's great for bikes with open access.

I bought this tool in the past and worked great. I somehow lost it, so I bought this 2 pack. Inexpensive solution to leaking motorcycle forks!

My expectations were low, but after having done a couple of fork seal replacements, I thought I would give them a try. So far so good. I only have a couple hundred miles on the bike after the procedure, but the leak is gone.

The dealership inspected my 2018 CB1000R last month. On the way out the door they noticed the right fork seal was leaking fork oil and told me it was going to cost 350 bucks to replace the fork seals. I did some internet sleuthing and saw that cleaning the fork seal is an option. This thing actually works! I cleaned the leaking seal. It did leak slightly on the next ride but has since stopped completely. One of the 2 thin plastic tools deformed while using it so they are disposable. It worked though.

Thought I needed new seals, but turns out there was just sand and dirt in them. The Seal Mate worked perfectly. Followed the simple directions, and no more leak.

Replaced fork seals last season, developed a slight leak this spring and thought I'd have to do it again. LOTS of people online mention these so I figured I'd give it a try and they worked like a charm. Once I cleaned out the seal, the leak got bigger, however after bouncing the forks a couple of times as per the instructions, that was it.

My one front fork on my 1800 Goldwing started weeping. I knew it had just started, so I was pretty sure oil loss was minimal. This is important because if you don't know how much oil you've lost, you are much safer to overhaul your forks and replace bushings and seals. I followed the instructions and I can say that so far, my fork seal is back to normal. Consider me a believer.Ultimately, I know that my 1800 will need the forks to be overhauled, because the bushings, seals and oil are wear items, but the season isn't over yet and things are leak free. I saw someone reviewing this tool and he explained that the reason it cracked on him was because the plastic tool was old, so keep it away from light and try to care for it because plastic bits in your fork is never a good thing. He also thought this tool was worth having and so do I.

Product saved me from changing fork seals on my street bike. There are also home made options that will work.

Crazy price for what you get but it was a lot cheaper than replacing the seals. It worked as advertised with one try. It is now safely stored in my tool kit in case I need it again. Now to replace the brake pads.
