I wanted this set up for some time but pulled the trigger after it was on a limited special so couldn’t resist the better buy. I found it incredibly easy to use but haven’t tried on a dive trip yet so now will have to schedule one but will post again after

Very handy dive camera. Very easy to setup and use. Just finished ten days of diving and took some great pictures. There is a newer version with a 3000 lumen light that I will upgrade to. One very annoying feature is this camera auto turns off after five mins of idle time. I can’t find any way to get more time. If someone knows how, please post!

In the first image the girl in the red dress has dramatic wide angle lens distortion as her arm goes off the side of the frame and this image is slightly blurry/out of focus. The second image is a screen grab from a movie I shot with the camera and is nice and clear as is the third image which I shot using photo mode. The navigation takes a little bit to get used to, but once I was going I was rolling. The light is incredibly bright and look forward to using the rig in more natural dives beyond the pool test. After sinking and shooting on a black background I first thought I would need to return the camera, but was able to work with the EV compensation to make some stellar images. I’m still on the fence with this camera, but am mostly convinced I’ll keep it.

I purchased the camera to step up from a Go-Pro for a trip to Indonesia. I had reasonable expectations, understanding the lighting, video and still image quality. Upon review of the first dive I was really unhappy with the photo resolution, clarity, metering fort the ambient light and I was very careful to manage setting correctly. When I tried to improve the next day I was still really unhappy with the images. I did find the camera compact and easy to use and the weight and out of box dive capability attractive for me. However I returned it and would NOT recommend it to anyone.Sadly Sealife is a company that produces underwater products and their design and en gingering is lacking to be such a focus product line.

The package was not sealed when I opened it. It was missing the USB cover (necessary in order to put the camera in the water so it is not usable currently). It was also missing the USB cable in order to charge it and get the photos off the camera. I emailed SeaLife & have not gotten a response yet. Will update when resolved.

This might be a little premature as I have only used this camera on one dive trip. The photo and video quality are fine, but the battery life seems to leave something to be desired. I shot a total of about 9 minutes of video and about a dozen still photos, then the battery died. I’m hoping it lasts a little longer on my July dive trip.

By the second day of our trip I was getting excellent photos. I had to keep the settings at snorkel depth even when we were down below 100 feet otherwise the pictures looked washed out. At night the color filters made everything yellow. But overall extremely easy to use, and the large buttons and screen were great under water. It just takes a little fiddling with the settings to get there. Then on the fourth day of the trip it developed a memory error that had to be dealt with by the manufacturer. They replaced the camera for free and emailed me a data dump of all the pictures on it. Still that was really frustrating to loose my camera half way through a 17 dive trip. When downloading pictures from the camera one really has to plug it into a laptop. The wifi connection was slower than snail snot.
