Product Description

Secret Hitler is a dramatic game of political intrigue and betrayal set in 1930's Germany. Players are secretly divided into two teams - liberals and fascists. Known only to each other, the fascists coordinate to sow distrust and install their cold-blooded leader. The liberals must find and stop the Secret Hitler before it’s too late.

Each round, players elect a President and a Chancellor who will work together to enact a law from a random deck. If the government passes a fascist law, players must try to figure out if they were betrayed or simply unlucky. Secret Hitler also features government powers that come into play as fascism advances. The fascists will use those powers to create chaos unless liberals can pull the nation back from the brink of war.

If only I had the words to say what I want to say here. I have massive respect for the maker(s) of this game. The level of design that went into this game is nothing short of brilliant. This game is not only perfectly balanced in general but impressively balanced on all levels of play, both casually and competitively. I can't stress how rare that is! Most games like this can only be enjoyed on either a casual or competitive level but this is a game that demands everyone to play it.All my friends love it and are completely obsessed with it. I am normally the one trying to get my friends to play board games, and sometimes that takes a lot of effort to entice them. This game changes that. Everyone consistently talks about the next time we can all play again. This game has a 4.9 star rating for a good reason. Spend the $35. It doesn't break the bank. For all the extra hours and hours I got to spend with my friends because of this game, I'd say it may have been the best $35 I will have ever spent in my life. This game does have some minor draw backs.1. It requires 5-10 people. I have found this best works with 6-10, though 8-10 is ideal. I specifically like it when it is harder to win as a Fascists, so 10 or 8 player is my preference.2. It isn't quite a family game. Some say this game is more suited for ages 13+, but really I think its best enjoyed with ages 16+, or even 18+. I have seen this game rated as a 1.74/5 complexity, but that may be misleading. Like I said it does a great job at engaging all audiences, but there is a lot of depth to it. It is about as complex as Among us. There are some people that play it for fun and some that are really good at it. There are a lots of opportunities for 200 IQ plays as well as putting your impermeable acting skills to the test.I think that covers it. Now go give it a shot!

If you have never played this game and you and your group are looking for new games to try this is THE GAME! It is 4-10 players and it's full of lying, convincing, and yelling (in a fun way)! I would recommend this game to anyone who would be in college or older!

Secret Hitler is hands down one of the most enjoyable board games I have had the pleasure of playing. While it may come with a slightly higher price tag, the entertainment and excitement it delivers make it worth every penny. The theme and gameplay are captivating, immersing players in a thrilling atmosphere where trust is tested, alliances are formed, and suspicions run high. Each round is filled with tension and strategic decision-making, keeping everyone engaged and invested from start to finish. One of the highlights of Secret Hitler is its impeccable game design. The rules are well-crafted, striking a perfect balance between simplicity and depth. The mechanics are easy to grasp, allowing newcomers to quickly get involved, while the various roles and strategies add layers of complexity that keep the game fresh and exciting even after multiple plays. What truly sets Secret Hitler apart is the dynamic and interactive gameplay it offers. The social deduction element creates an atmosphere of suspicion and excitement, leading to intense debates, unexpected twists, and memorable moments. It is a game that sparks lively discussions and laughter, making it perfect for gatherings with friends and family. While the initial investment may seem slightly high, the countless hours of entertainment and the sheer enjoyment that Secret Hitler brings make it worth every cent. It is a game that will undoubtedly become a staple in your board game collection, delivering endless fun and intrigue for years to come.In conclusion, Secret Hitler is an exceptional board game that combines a captivating theme, clever mechanics, and interactive gameplay to provide one of the most enjoyable gaming experiences out there. Despite its initial cost, the hours of entertainment and laughter it brings make it a fantastic investment. If you're a fan of social deduction games and are looking for a thrilling and immersive experience, I highly recommend giving Secret Hitler a try.

Though this game can be a bit confusing to play at first, it's well worth the time to learn it! This is the best social deception game I've played to date. The theme fits nicely with the mechanics of the game, which at its core involves a smaller team trying to sabotage a larger one. (Most people won't for certain know who's on which team!) There metagaming that can be done is rather limited, so its really focuses on reading & interacting with others and a dose of logical thinking. If you enjoy games about lying to your friends, this is an exceptional one!

This game is a blast with the family. Not super confusing once you explain it. If you enjoy games of deception this is a great one!Tip: If you’re uncomfortable with the name/theme of game, you can find a similar game from these same people based on Star Wars. I think they have a few different versions of the game.

Ordered this for a game night with friends. It was so much fun! Easy to learn and not a lot of rules. It is similar to Mafia, so if you like that game you will love this one.

Good times and so on. Great sober but with a few drinks and good friends it's a brawl. Great time.
Great value for money

One of the best board games ever made. It’s so much fun, can stop playing after a round so don’t have to commit to hours of play. The actual quality of the materials is good.

Knew this game because a friend had it and I had to have one. It's a "werewolf" style game where you have to find out who are the "fascists" and vote liberal laws before the bad guys win.

i do a casual games night with games that are fun and simple to learn and play. this game was extremely popular. the rules can seem daunting, but after one or 2 rounds everyone knew what was going on. gameplay moves at a good pace, and a game is fairly short, 30 minutes or so. while the game works with fewer people, after reading the rules i decided i dont want to play this game with less than 7 players because it affects the ratio of fascists to liberals. it took a long time to get enough people together but it was worth it.there is as much or as little strategy as each player wants to use. some players get insanely into the layers of intrigue and espionage in the game, as verifiable information is limited, players can pass info freely, but aren't obligated to tell the truth it can be a real logic challenge to weed out who the fascists are. it seems as if the liberals have a bit of an advantage, as there are more of them and fascists often have to act in interest of liberals not to out themselves, but that makes a fascist win that much better.the game feels vastly different depending on what faction you play, as liberals start knowing nothing, but as a fascist you know who is on your side as well as who hitler is, so you start with a camaraderie with certain players you must hide, while the liberals are in fear anyone could be a fascist or hitler.this is an easy to learn, extraordinarily fun game to play that allows players to engage at levels of strategy that are comfortable for them, where other games with high levels of scheming force all players to adhere to the level of strategy to compete or have fun. this is especially good since this game can accommodate up to 10 players
