Bought this 15 months ago. Used this heat gun for over 150 heat shrink connectors over six months. Audible pop sound, no low setting but high setting still worked. Sent an email to OEM asking how I might repair it expecting them to not support the lifetime guarantee. OEM responded promptly asking for a couple pieces of order information (which was all on the Amazon account), then OEM shipped a new one to me which arrived about 3 days later. Love the heat gun, Amazon of course works flawlessly when you need help, and this OEM gets very high marks for standing behind their product, warranty and responsiveness. Well Done!

No complaints here. I got it to remove paint from trim, which it was able to do very well (unfortunately there was something else under the paint that even a sand blaster struggled to remove). Heats up quickly and is easy to use.

Gone are the days when tools were built to be generational and would outlive and endure the original purchaser's abuse and who knows how many after. The build quality (as it seems to be with more and more items on Amazon) leaves much to be desired. We get what we pay for, right. I've only used this heat gun once since I purchased it. It reached my expectations for performance,. I just hope it lasts as long as I might need it.

After only a one use the lower heat setting stopped working. Now, after maybe 4 uses the high heat setting does not seem to be shrinking the shrink wrap - it leaves bulky gaps that don't conform to the basket. This is the reason I bought this heat gun in the first place. In addition one of the attachments that came with it did not fit on the heat gun (couldn't use that attachment). I hope the seller will replace this heat gun, and if so I will update my review based on the replacement product.Update: The customer service is VERY GOOD. They have contacted me and are sending a replacement heat gun. Very understanding and seem to really care about their customers and products. I would definitely buy from this seller again. Once I receive and try the replacement heat gun I will update this review again.Received the replacement earlier than expected. I've only used it twice but it's working perfectly! Better yet I know if I have an issue the seller will respond and replace the item.
