It isn't as big as some other islands out there, but that doesn't make it any less awesome! The color is almost exact to my kitchen cabinets (which is what drew me in to begin with). It was packaged really well, which was a plus. Putting it together was easy, and we were able to knock it out in no time. The butcher block lid is of a decorative quality, so I wouldn't recommend using knives on it directly. It's small enough to not clutter my kitchen space, but large enough to serve as additional counter space and seating space if needed.
