You are of course welcome to just add this cab to your other cab(s) as a low frequency extension, but know you're also going to be adding a bunch of midrange doing that. I wanted a cab with a horn as I didn't have one, and I guessed one could be fit into this cab along with a passive crossover. Sure enough, the Eminence BGH258 Supertweeter with Eminence PXB2:2K5CX Crossover fit fine after I peeled off the Seismic Logo. The front panel I drilled through was 9 ply, probably birch for those wondering.I added a switch on the backplate that lets me turn the horn on and off, off is the stock sound. Wow does this cab get clear and modern sounding with the horn on. With the horn off, you have vintage midrange tone, like an early portaflex, with good low end. Horn on it's truly awesome cab with less mids (the crossover at 1.6Khz carves off a fair share of the 15" mids) and deep extension for 5 string work. I doubt anyone would be unhappy with this cab given the vintage/modern switch. Two of these the way I have them would be a terrific gigging pair that's very portable and very deep. And there's no problem putting a different 15" in there if you wish. The dual front ports are 3".These are nice lightweight cabs, the side handles are plastic but you don't need metal given the weight. I added locking casters on the side only because I have 50lbs of amps etc on top of this. The 15" handles the wattage I'm sending in there fine, as I said two of these with horns may be a better gigging rig than adding a 2x10. With my additions the cab is still under $400 delivered (plus a few hours of labor) and I doubt you can do better.

I use this in combination with an Acoustic 4x10 cab and an Acoustic 500w head. Works perfectly for outdoor gigs as well as indoor gigs in medium size venues. Rounds out my sound nicely. Unit is solidly constructed and is quite light for a 15" woofer. Nice option for getting the biggest sound you can get on a budget.

I bought this cabinet to add some beef to my guitar rig, and boy does it deliver! I'm running it as an extension cabinet with my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, and my Fender Hot Rod Deville (4x10). It gives me the low end that I was missing, and it seriously helps the sound projection from the stage. I play lots of outdoor gigs through the summer months, and having this cabinet as part of my rig is going to be perfect for it. Obviously, it's made to run with a bass amp, and I used it for that purpose last week, for which it performed fantastically...god of thunder! The price is right, it's lightweight, it's sturdy, it has plenty of low-end punch, and it's the perfect size to stack amps on top of. Couldn't be happier with this purchase!

I own this cabinet. Ok for practice, but would never use on a gig. Poor bracing and cabinet design. Supposed to handle 300 watts, but I seriously doubt that. Could not handle my 40 watt Traynor tube head, distorted at medium volume level. Would not recommend for stage/live use.

I'll just say, I can't believe the price-to-quality ratio. I will buy more from Seismic Audio. A good bass rig is about the only thing I DON'T have, so I decided to start one. Currently running this with a Peavey 3120 GUITAR amp! Sounds great as a bass rig, but I think I'll get one of the cheap Behringer heads anyway. Tried playing guitar thru the rig just to be stupid. The cab sounds great with guitar! This cab is 8 ohms, and my 4x12 guitar cab is 16 ohms, so once I find out which ohm-age setting I should use on the 3120, I think I'll run both cabs. That would be a damn wall-of-sound... Seismic are now among my cheap-gear heroes, along with Behringer, Bugera, Squier, Epiphone, etc. ps -- YESIKNOWBEHRINGERANDBUGERAARETHESAMECOMPANY, just to head off the losers who look for reviews to plague...

I bought this to add to my Fender Rumble 200. The Fender Rumble pushes 140 watts on its own and 200 with an added extension cabinet (100 to amp speaker and 100 to extension cabinet). I clearly noticed a significant increase in volume when using it and it sounded great. There is no tweeter in this cabinet, but I already have one in the Rumble so I was pushing two 15's plus tweeter when using this. The Rumble is an amplifier with. 15" speaker and tweeter. This is only a 15" speaker. The problem is this weighs much more than the Rumble amp. I guess it is the wood they use. I still bring it to larger gigs for the extra oomph, but it breaks my back.

Excellent value when on sale. I purchased this cabinet when it was on sale for less than $200. The build quality is excellent and it sounds great paired with a 4x10 cabinet.
