Used these to repair corroded wires in a junction box that feeds an electric range. Wires are heavy stranded aluminum joined to multi strand copper. I’m guessing 5 or 6 ga. wires. These connectors are a bit over-size for my wires but they hold the wires safely and securely and eliminated the need for the junction box. My only negative is the set screws are not a precision fit in the threaded holes. They tighten down OK but a more precise threaded fit is less likely to loosen up
