I was really surprised at the quality of this. The metal is thick and firm. The adhesive is extremely effective. The only thing I could mention, which isn’t necessarily positive, is that the adhesive isn’t uniform, meaning it doesn’t cover the entirety of the backside and is a bit wavy from one end to the other. I can’t imagine where this could present a problem, but it’s worth mentioning. For the purpose of securely sticking to wood, or metal I can confirm that the adhesive is much more than sufficient and the lack of uniformity has no negative impact. I used this on an activity board. I cut it into tree shapes, scuffed off some of the shine and painted it so my little guy could have a place to stick his magnetic animals, aside from the refrigerator. I expected to have to secure it but it isn’t coming off. The sides are smooth and can’t cut his little fingers. The sides I cut were easily filed then sanded to make them safe as well. I suggest investing in some metal cutting shears as you are cutting through some thick adhesive and steel. A cutting wheel would also work, as would a hack saw. Scissors will not cut this. For my needs, this product was perfect and I have a lot left for future projects. This arrived loosely rolled so there are no folds or bends to deal with. You can easily flatten it out with your hands. The steel side is covered with a clear film to protect it while you’re working with it and the adhesive has a waxy paper which you peel when ready to stick it to something. The steel side has a mirror like finish. Once you’ve firmly stuck this to something, if you have to unstick it you’ll likely need something to pry it off, but if the adhesive side touches anything accidentally, you won’t have to fight to separate it. At this price I expected much less quality so this was a great value for my money and a welcome surprise. I’ll definitely recommend to anyone who needs a similar product.

This is really not like tape. It’s a strip of light bendable sheet metal with adhesive on one side. It worked great for what I wanted, that is, to attach some lighting strips in closets in my house. I would recommend it for things like that. Magnets really hold tight. But bear in mind that is sheet metal, not exactly tape. So you have to be careful in handling it and you need to spend a little time flattening it out against your surface.

Its perfect. Magnetic strength is fantastic. Its easy to cut, but still feels sturdy. I used it to create a magnetic element to my tablet case so it stays in better. Works like a charm!

This generally works well, and does what you are looking for. The metal holds magnets well, and the adhesive is nice and sticky. The "tape" cuts easily enough with tin-snips.I do with the adhesive was a separate roll. I would like to be able to use the metal tape without the adhesive for a project I'm prototyping, and there is no good way to remove the adhesive. Also, because of the type of adhesive, it triples the thickness of the tape, which makes it impractical for what I'm trying to do.

A good metal strip, the magnets it came with were some standard cheap plastic with magnets, it wasn't the primary reason I wanted this anyway but thought they might be useful. I have a whiteboard sticker I've been intending to get up on the wall and my dry fit of this will work well along the top edge. You'll need some metal shears if you intend to cut this.

I needed a way to stick stuff up with magnets for eadier access to them. Thought about hoing to the hardware store and looking for a metal bar to screw to the wall in my office, but then I found this adhesive backed metal strip. Works much better than I expected and installation was super easy. Cut to lenght with just scissors and stuck to the wall. It looks so much better than just a metal bar would have.

The magnetic hold on this is perfect for my office needs! It was exactly what I was looking for to add some magnetic strength to my IKEA desk whiteboard. Easy to use and install, strong adhesive, and plenty of magnetic strip is included in the roll. Awesome value for the price!

it's essentially thick metal tape with a good ferric content so magnets really stickthe adhesive nature means no fasteners for a nice clean lookWhile this was sent to me for review, I take that job seriously. Getting people the wrong product is wasteful, irresponsible and a hassle for everyone. Not everything I review gets high marks -- BTW, I live in a high sales tax state, review items aren't exactly at-no-cost for me]
