Trashed them- Got to help trickle plants while out of town. I tired prior to the trip and they leaked and hard to set the dripper- did not enjoy these. Past return date to ended up in landfill.

I used similar device before and they were terracotta which allows the water to seeps out from the pore. The only downside is they're bulky and may not work with smaller pots. These are more skinny and can be insert more deeply into the soil. I like the adjustable vault feature but it is hard to control the water flow. I also find it hard to apply as you have to tip over the bottle without spilling the water. Some bottles may even need some support. They don't work for all plants in all situations but overall it's a good to concept to keep your plants moist when you're away for an extended period of time. Another important tips: the device works better when the soil is already moist. If the soil is too dry, the water dripping system doesn't work as well.

Bought to use to water plants I brought in for the winter. They are a lot smaller than I anticipated and will not hold enough water for my large container plants. I advise to take in to account what size plant and its water needs

I’m on the fence with these watering spikes. While I can absolutely see how they might work for other people I just couldn’t make them work for me. While the unit itself feels well made and durable I found adjusting the dripper tedious. I never could get the flow rate I desired. It seemed to always be too slow or fast when attempting to dial it in. What’s more is that it isn’t going stand up in a light airy medium like coco. A small 12oz glass bottle would just sink the entire spike and dripper down into that medium. You definitely need to use a lighter soda type bottle and a dirt that has some compaction to get it to stay upright.
