Heavy duty seem like work good on 1/2 rope or bigger an it will let u freely go up but u slip it will lock down tight no free falling happening if u are hook up to this device i love it hard to open sometime if u want to add it to a rope u have already have ran or switch it to another rope you are able to do so very nice device.

While technically this device worked as advertised, the spring action is so tight that it's virtually unusable. I'm sure it's safe, but it did not work at all in a manner that fit my needs.

When your on a roof you need one of these. This functions as it should and you can easily move up you ropses with ease while still being confident that it will catch you if you slip and fall. It ialso complies with OSHA/ANSI Standards which means that it is quality made and will function as expected

This product is extremely heavy duty and works very well, and is a good value for its money. It is easy to use and grips the rope securely, although it is a bit cumbersome in comparison to other models.

I had some repairs I needed to do to my roof after the double hurricanes here in Florida; I installed a couple roof anchors and used a 5/8" climbing rope as the safety line with this rope grab and a harness. I tested it a couple times and it locked on the rope with a quick pull. While it appears to work fine, there are no OSHA certification numbers on it anywhere if those are needed for your application.

Have used this tree climbing and it works excellent. Easy to latch and to move up the rope. Easy to take off the rope. The metal is thick and the coating on it protects it.
