If your existing cup holder has a slot for a cup handle, the extender is a little tuff lining it up so the 3 expanding pieces to hold in place. Also if you have a tall cup and is full it can tip.

after weeks of trial and error, buying and returning. This is the very best for my 2004 LEXUS car. I guess back then, cup holders for drinks were somewhat hidden. Mine pop out and are not sturdy enough to hold a regular cup of coffee made of Styrofoam. This is PERFECT for my YETI tumbler and doesn't slip and spill everywhere now.

Works fine, hard to pull out the sides, when you try to twist one, the other comes out. Not bad though and still works.
