I bought this as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend, who loves coffee but never would’ve dropped the money on an espresso machine. He worked at Starbucks for years and knows all about espresso machines. He’s been obsessed with this ever since and even says the quality of espresso he makes is better than Starbucks. It’s easy to use and looks fancy! Just make sure you plug into a free wall outlet to power on properly.

This machine has great potential but:This design has been sold under several different brands, each of them changing the control face and re-branding it. Mueller was the branding on my first one, but what I have to say goes for all variants of this machine.The knob that selects water/steam is also the end of the line for the pressure from the main pump during the espresso shot. This means that the pressure is held back only by the o-ring seals in this knob. It WILL begin to leak almost immediately and none of the resellers who offer this device will outright say it but the machine is NOT servicable and you cannot purchase parts, from anyone, to repair this machine.Having said that, if you equip it with a proper portafilter, it can be made to pull a very good shot and the grinder seems to have no issues whatsoever. It makes very consistent grounds, all the way down to basically turkish coffee, and as course as you'd like as well.Overall, I'm just disappointed that this otherwise excellent machine is basically disposable.

Was nervous when purchased. Have it for a couple months now and so happy!!!! I think it’s a great purchase, especially for beginners. I have had no issues with the grinder nor any other of the components. If you’re thinking of purchasing your first espresso maker, I would say go for this one.

Purchased this Semi Auto Expresso Machine for my wife. She works from home and starts every morning off with a few cups of coffee. She absolutely loves this coffee maker and the coffee and expresso is amazing.
