The plastic is difficult to sew through but the idea is so clever and it’s really easy to hide where needed. My husband also wall mounted this in our bedroom drapes so we have superb sun blocking. He used a small screw through the plastic. We could have used glue but these are so small you can’t see them unless you’re looking. But what weirdo is going to come into your room and move your window curtain to judge this magnet being there?Very strong magnet for size. The plastic is maybe too strong but I think it’s great for what I needed. If you hate it, simply cut it off. It’s like a little pouch. It’s not like suspended in acrylic or something. Good value in my opinion. When we need more I’ll literally look through old orders before searching for new ones.

These magnets have a very strong hold. They are a bit too thick for some of my applications. However, they are very strong so they are a really good deal for the amount you get. Good to have on hand for so many different projects.

*****EDITED/UPDATED: I take it back- go look for BETOPLIN 20mm MAGNETS here on amazon. They are strong, amazing and the ones you’ve been searching for- TRUST ME! *****I have been looking for reasonably priced, fairly strong magnets like these to sew inside as handbag clotures. I found great ones at Tandy Leather but they are between $7-9 just for one pair and homie don’t play that. I took a chance on these bc of the high ratings as well as the flat, oblong rectangular shape of them and they are EXACTLY what I was looking for. I purchased the largest ones listed here which are 10 x 30mm and I was so pleased I immediately ordered 2 more sets. I also purchased Annie’s set of two pairs of round purse closure magnets and while they are also great, these ones here are actually stronger and you get SO many for nearly the same price. Sorry Annie! If you are also searching for purse closures give these a try! I hope this review helps someone out there as I rely on them so much! :)

These were easy to see inside the chairback slipcovers I made to keep them in place and retain the ability to be reversed.

These are small, come in two different "colors", so match a "silver" with a "gold" and the magnet is much stronger (I'm sure there is some physics involved here but I wasn't aware of this option).They hold well through cotton fabric, not so well through leather. And they fall off my finger unlike in the picture demonstrated here!

I just love these magnets. I used them to replace the velcro on my dog's coat. I compared them with another type of magnet button that is a little bulkier.I like these magnets better than the button magnets because they click together just a tiny bit faster, but also these are not as bulky. I will say the button magnets will probably hold up better, but mydog isn't doing any rough and tumble stuff, so I prefer these.It depends on what you need them for, but these work great, but if you need something for more rugged use, you might look at the button magnets that have a hard plastic case, rather than a thin plastic packet.
