I had a 52mm circular polarizer for my 50mm F/1.8 and I just upgraded to the new one (with the metal mount and improved AF) but for some reason it's filter size was 49 mm. Instead of throwing out the old filter and buying a new one, I found this marvelous product. It threaded to the lens and the filter no problem.

Used with an older 50mm lens so I can use filters that use the thread size intended for my camera. Also nice because it allows me to use a lens cap that doesn't fit without the converter.

This inexpensive step-up ring works as advertised. I can now use my old Nikon 52mm filters on my FujiFilm cameras that take 49mm filters. It will save you money and you won't have to purchase new filters.

Works great!Sturdy metal construction, smooth, with no burrs.Fits great on my nifty fifty.I'd mistakenly purchased a 52mm hood, and lens filters, for my 50mm lens, only to find out that 52mm was the thread size on the old version of the 50mm lens - the updated version, which is the one that I own, has a 49mm thread.This step up ring has done its job quite well, comes on and off easily, and was a good purchase overall. I'd consider this brand again if I need a step up ring in the future.
