I discovered concave cutters several years ago when I thought I might try my hand at training bonsai (being in the military, it didn't exactly work out). While I may have failed at bonsai, I discovered one of the most useful tools for performing detailed pruning of small trees and shrubs.High-grade carbon steel, these will work on just about any branch up to around 5/8" in diameter. Much larger and you'll need to break out a saw if you want a clean cut.These are typical carbon steel with slightly curved handles to provide a bit of purchase. One caveat: These are sharp and they will show no mercy if you get your finger caught between the jaws.A very useful tool for keeping your garden in tip top shape. RECOMMENDED.
