Definitely keeps beverage hot. My only complaint is that you're not supposed to use the lid lever to screw or unscrew the lid, but there is little else to grab onto, especially since the lid top is small and smooth. With some gentleness, I try to grasp both the lid top AND the lid lever and I think it should hold up, but wouldn't count on that for those who cannot exercise the same carefulness.

Lid won't come off without lots of force. Terrible, terrible design. Instead of a simple screw top, they went with this lid design which is faulty and impossible to work with. I don't understand the high ratings. Worst product I've tried to buy in years.
