This is a very cute design. I bought this as a starter sewing kit for my 8 yr old granddaughter. I myself am a skilled sewer. Of course it requires supervision at this age but we both love the design as well as the interaction to work on this together over several visits. The instructions are very straight forward and the product is pretty good quality. It does take a several hours to put together but the young sewer is exposed to pattern making, high quality learning, following instructions, and a cute end product. Very nice.

My daughter really loves it and the quality is good. And also, we lost the instructions after a year and I sent them email and they sent me the instructions!

I recently got the urge to try sewing a plushie, so I bought this for practice. My sister and I had our own kits and tried to sew our plushie. Admittedly, the instructions weren’t exactly clear around the middle of sewing the body together, so we had to guess. The instructions paper was just pictures and a few words. I eventually managed to find my way around though, so if you don’t already know what you’re doing it might take a bit of patience.

This is labeled as being for age 5+ and my 8 year old couldn’t do it. She even took it to her sewing teacher who is very experienced and she couldn’t figure it out either. What a waste of money and false advertising.

This was nice and easy for me. It was relaxing after completing a very difficult craft. Its face has a friendly off beat look. We love it. A child could make it and feel rightly proud.

I got this for a 9 year old who was new to sewing and it was way too advanced to work on independently. The plastic needles really only work on the felt portion of the project. I advise using the actual needle that’s included and not the plastic one. End result was very cute and just like the pictured product.

My daughyer and I worked on this together and now she takes it everywhere with her and I love that she learned to stitch which is great fine motor skills! This little llama is sooo cute and she is so proud to say she made it herself!

It looks cute on the box but it’s really flimsy material. The instructions, if I can call them that, are extremely difficult to follow. I cannot recommend this product for adults or children. Not until they have clear, step by step, instructions.

Loved this. I bought it for my 6 1/2 year old grand daughter. The precut holes for the plastic needle was a little hard for her to line up so I feel an 8 year old will do well with it. A lot of fun for the little ones. Comes complete with everything you need. I recommend.

My grandaughter liked the idea of the sewing kit but the holes were a little too small for her to sew without considerable help.

Very marginal instructions for types of stitches to use. Photos/illustrations are small, not enough detail.

This is a very basic kit for the price. There are much better kits at Kmart for less than half the price. Regretful purchase. The only positive is the kit was delivered on time as promised.
