OMG!!! Late to the game, struggled for years to "add" light so I can see to sew at night. Those button battery lights are big and get in the way, no way to secure them to the sewing machine. Until I stumbled upon a YT video on sewing gizmos and I just have to have it! Bright cool light provides plenty for sewing. I just don't understand why the little peep hole for the light in the sewing machine head isn't big enough to let the light through, definitely a flaw in the design. Now, instead of sewing "by candle light", 21st century bright lights to sew through the night! Thank you!!!I wrapped the strip along the back underside so as not to give off any glare into my eyes. The 5 little sticky guides are spot on to hold the strip in place. I fiddled with positioning until I found what worked for me and in the process had to remove and adhere the guides several times. They are sticky enough to hold but with my moving them around, that may have diminished their adherence, only time will tell, but any diminishing will not be reflection on product but user error. I did not remove the backing from the light strip itself as I want the ability to move it around later if I so choose.Definitely worth the purchase.

The price was less than other products and you get more stuff! I was pleasantly pleased with the amount of added items that came with the light strip....a measuring tape; a dozen or so of plastic sewing clips: 5-6 sticky back cord holders; and a neon green velcro clasp for wire management. Easy to install and able to cut to size you need. Delivered next day, So far it's doing the job! I can see while I sew :)

This light strip is a great product! It gets really bright. It's helping my sewing so much. It was also $2 less than another one I bought from another vendor.This company included a nice little case for the light. After you take the light out, you can reuse the case for something else. It even includes the base for the charging cord.You know, I never knew these existed until I saw them at another online company. I didn't want to wait so long on shipping from the other company, so came to Amazon. Such creative products to help our sewing or other hobbies. I can see these being useful on desks or any area where hobbies are done. Well, anywhere that needs more light!!
