SHANGRI-LA Canvas Tote Handbag Casual Purse Shoulder Bag for Women Convertible Backpack

I am a mom transitioning from diaper bag to a purse that can still handle snacks and sippy cups. This bag seems perfect for quickly transitioning to whatever I need while still having enough space for everything I need. I have had this bag for almost a month and so glad I bought it. In my mind the pros outweigh the cons, but I have them here for others to consider.Pros: the bag continues to stay upright when becoming a backpack.The transition between shoulder bag to backpack is easy.There's a divider pocket that make it easier to seperate sippy cups from your wallet and items you don't wish to get accidently wet like masks or tissue.The canvas material is study, but not scratchyIt looks really cute and I've gotten a lot of complimentsCons: the zippers catch on the material and do not zip as smoothly as I would like. I put my car keys in the front zipper and my phone in the back zipper pocket so I use them a lot.The strap that flips over the top is magnetic only to the other side and is more of a hindrance.When transitioning from backpack to shoulder mode, the straps get tangled easily. This is something that really bothers me, but I don't see an easy solution given the design of the bag. I did take off a star on versatility because of this reason.When in purse form the opening isn't as big as other bags and I've seen other reviews state this, but it is not something that upsets me much.There's 2 zipper pouches on one side of the bag and the second zipper pouch is not flat against the bag, especially if something is in it. There are many times when I've dug around without looking to realize I was in a wrong area of the purse. Minor inconvenience because I'd rather have the 2 inner zipper pouches than not, but someone might not like that.

For the price this bag gives ALOT of great features. It exceeded my expectations:*It's roomier than I thought.*It has more organization than It explains in photos. 2 zippered pockets on the outside. 2 zippered pockets on the inside.*2 magnetic closures on top.*Semi-solid bottom for stability to stand up.*Lot's of functionality on how to carry it.*Because the bag is made of canvas it is easy to fold and pack if you are traveling.The only thing I would recommend is to make the backpack straps a little thicker/sturdier.Other than that, I would still give this bag 5 stars for the value based on price, and for this becoming my new favorite bag.I will have to purchase this bag in more colors!

This bag is working out better than I thought it would. I love that it is convertible from shoulder tote to back pack. Quite roomy. With my 10" laptop and 8" tablet in it it's kind of heavy, but manageable. This one has a zipper top (Great). The strap on the front that snaps over the zipper top is really not necessary when zipped. The construction is good. I have not found any messed up parts. There is an extra zipper pocket on the inside that seems to be in a weird spot to me. Overall, I am loving it (for now). The value is good for the price. By the way, I tried the one that has a snap top and the straps are angled a bit, I did not like that style.

I have been looking, trying, and researching all types of bags. I have returned more than I can count. But this bag has met all my needs. Perfect size and enough pockets. Very versatile, from bag to backpack. Made with sustainable material. Very cute, but not too girly. I am so very very happy with this bag.I would recommend to all my family and friends.

My struggle with bags in the past:I never used to carry a handbag simply because I could never use my hands freely without it slipping off my shoulder. I tried a crossbody bag which allowed hands-free capability but I find that as a woman with a chest, the strap kind of does a thing that I don't necessarily like, so I tried backpacks. Hands-free capability and no strappy annoyances, only the problem was the accessibility. Zipping and unzipping my bag for every little thing was a bit tedious and most backpacks are bottomless pits with 1-2 pockets that you have to dig around in just to find your phone or wallet. I also tend to carry my sketchbook anywhere I go so I wanted a bag that was large enough for it as well as my water-bottle and other purse necessities.What I like about this bag:This bag is freakin cute. The versatility is awesome, perfect for hands-free walks around the park/town and easy quick access runs into the store. I also love the exterior small zip pocket on the front and back, the front one is the perfect size for my phone and the back is perfect for anything else like keys or cash. On the inside there's 2 zip pockets and 1 small regular pocket perfect for my art supplies, change, and other small handbag necessities. It even has a padded slot for a laptop or tablet which is perfect for me when I need to bring my Mac and tablet with me for digital painting. The rest of the bag is quite spacious, perfect for my water-bottle, art supplies, sketchbook, and any other bulky things I may want to take with me.Quality and material:Overall, this bag seems to be pretty decent in quality. The body and straps of the bag are made up of a canvas-like material which in my experience is known to be quite durable. My only concerns for expected wear overtime are the fake leather parts and the magnetic clasps. The fake leather will eventually crack or peel and the metal clasps will either fall apart or tear through the canvas due to the sharp edges. So far I've used this bag for 2 months now and I have not ran into any issues, though compared to the average person I am a bit more gentle with my belongings. The exterior zippers are made of metal and seem to be well made, I haven't had any issues with them getting stuck or falling apart. The strap buckle on the front detaches with a magnetic clasp which is nice so you don't have to undo it every time. The bag is held closed also with a magnetic clasp. Finally, the rings are solid and convenient to hook anything you want to them.Notes / my recommendation:If you're debating between black or grey, I recommend black because it's more of a dark grey/charcoal color like shown in the picture, though some of the other colors are not quite as accurately shown. Also, I recommend the bag with the straps rooted towards the face of the bag rather than the one with the straps on the edges/sides because the bag lacks structure and when it's held it collapses in on itself causing it to awkwardly gape open.

I bought this for the versatility of being both a shoulder bag and a back pack style bag.It's nice looking and good quality canvas so it's hard wearing. It also has plenty of pockets to keep things seperate, even a padded sleeve for carrying electronics with screens.Great product and I'd recommend it.

Love the many sections, especially the zippier pockets on the outside for keys, phone etc. The bag can transform to be a backpack which makes life so much easier

The purse is a gorgeous as it is functional. Love all the pockets,even has a dedicated slot for a tablet or small laptop, it is very roomy. The material is sturdy, strong, (almost feels like a good denim? - which i love!) without making it a heavy, "blah" bag like it can sometimes happen. If you're looking for a purse that looks fanatic and will last, I highly recommend this one.
