Over the past several years I have purchased multiple name brands of acrylic markers. Some have been good, some great, and some a complete waste of my money. I saw these markers and decided to give them a try because the price was good and I have spent more money in the past on markers that were a disappointment.I finally opened them this morning to try them on a story card ornament I laser cut last night for a craft fair I have in a couple of weeks. From the first "paint stroke", these were AWESOME!! No priming (so useable right out of the package), no bleeding, no paint running. Great coverage, great colors and quick drying. These just may be my new favorite acrylic paint marker!!Sharpie, you just may have replaced my MUCH more expensive (but still good), acrylic markers!!! If I hadn't just purchased a "briefcase" of the more expensive ones, I wouldn't have purchased them after trying the Sharpies. I will be ordering more of these!!! The wood I painted on was lighter colored, but I have a feeling these will work great on any color. If I didn't have to go to work, I would be painting more of my story card ornaments right now!

All paint pens are not created equal, who knew? Not me, that's for sure.I'm prepping some activities to enjoy while recovering from a major surgery, and thought I'd pickup some new art supplies so I can do more than read for six plus weeks. Sharpie really knows what they're doing, these pens are fantastic. They glide smoothy over the paper of my coloring book, cover nice and evenly with one coat, and they're true to color. And my favorite bit, they DON'T bleed through! A lot of pens claim this, but few actually deliver. However, the red got close so keep that in mind. My only complaint is the size of the pack, the twelve colors supplied are nice but I wish they have more options for a wider range of creativity. Regardless, I would definitely buy these again!

I am in love with these markers. They dry fairly quickly (but so does everything in the desert) and are simple to use. They write over each other and other media. Lovely colors, although I wish there was a brown.

Ok right away just doing a simple color test on black plastic I knew I loved this ink/paints formula. It is opaque and can be overlapped without removing itself from smooth surfaces. The Achilles heel of paint pens is the fact that once you put a mark down if you try and go back and spot fill you'll end up pulling up what you just put down, I believe the brush tip which has a good amount of play not too soft not too stiff is partially the reason and the other is the formula that they use is a very high quality. Each color including white is bright and vibrant and while I have used other paint sets in the past there's always been a slight transparency or it was incredibly thick and often would dry out on the nib. Now the paint can still smear but as long as you're aware of that that's actually one of the strong suits of these pens which allow colors to be right up next to each other or even being able to spot fill if your stroke was too hasty. Now I'm sure plastic was left off all of the surfaces you can apply it to most likely because of how smooth it is and because of the inks ability to go on smoothly it's pretty easy to scratch. I would treat it how you would anything you would airbrush paint and put a protective clear coat over it if it's something that will be handled and that would have a chance to normally scratch but on a surface with a little 'tooth' it won't be an issue. These are what chalk markers wish they could be, bright, vibrant and easy to lay down. There's a reason artists like the classic sharpie it glides across paper, art board etc smoothly with a consistent line and these are just the same quality of instrument. I think I found a new favorite, I highly recommend the brush variety. Oh and the 'store horizontally' is a bigger deal then they make it as most pens are stored horizontal (cases, drawers etc) and most paint pens need to be kept vertical to drain out the paint from the tip or it dries an clogs effectively killing the pen, but not these :) .

As someone else said, the pens closest to these are Posca which I use. Posca is an acrylic paint pen and as such can pool and they have to be held at the correct angle when working. Posca still shines above other paint pens I've used like Liquitex, especially since the Posca tips aren't as prone to drying out. These go on like an ink marker but do not bleed through the page. They are said to be acrylic which should mean there is actual pigment rather than dye in the pen. Dye fades. What is not stated is LIGHT FASTNESS. If you just want to use these to sketch in your journal or even to do art work that will be photographed and sold as prints, that doesn't matter. If you are selling the original work or working on canvas and hanging it on a wall, it can matter a great deal.It should be noted that the ABSENCE of a BROWN marker and an uncertain date for the release of their "EARTH TONE SET which includes brown is a problem. The EARTH TONES were supposed to be released on on January 8. I spoke with the manager at our art store today and he says none of the distributors have them and he is hearing that it will be summer before individual pens and perhaps the earth tones as well will be available. Not being able to get individual pens for 6 months means that these pens aren't quite as cheap as they seem if you run out of one during a project.Hopefully they will up the timeline as I really like the white marker. It isn't overbearing and all colors dry to a mat finish. They also interface well with Posca. I experimented with a gold Posca and blue sharpie at the art store. They work well together.

I grabbed these Sharpie Water-Based Acrylic Markers for some fun crafts with my kids, and they’ve been a hit. The brush tip gives a nice, smooth flow that works great for everything from rock painting to decorating glass jars. The colours are bright and vibrant, though a couple do need a few layers to really pop, especially on darker surfaces. What I love most is that they’re water-based, so any little “oops” moments (and there are plenty with kids!) clean up pretty easily. Just don’t let the paint dry—it’s less forgiving then. The markers feel comfortable to hold, even for my youngest, and they’ve lasted through quite a few art sessions already. They’re not perfect for super fine detail, but for general creative fun, they’re fantastic. Plus, I appreciate that they don’t stink like some other markers. If you’re into crafts or just want a good art activity for family time, these are a solid pick.

What I Like - These actually work as described and color over black so well! I was actually shocked at how good they write and cover. No foul paint smell, no weird odor. They somehow just work really well! I was able to label on my black tape with no issues. Quick dry time. No bleeding, even on the other side of the same page when used on paper. So many uses, so use your imagination. Great for labeling, great for art. Great for making notes where you need multiple colors. A great time saver as usually one coat is enough on black paper, but two coats looks so vibrant. Great value for money. What I Don’t Like - Nothing yet.
