Bought as a replacement for an old lock and this one works perfect. Took about 2 minutes to install, I got lucky screw holes and everything matched up to the old one. Looks good and works well.

Took me about 5 minutes to install. Didn't even need instructions. Anyone who has used a screwdriver can do this. I did however pack the inside with bearing grease and I also caulked where the handle meets the wood to keep moisture out. The only reason I had to replace was because the original became difficult to use. When I took the original handle off I noticed the entire inside was rusted. So, I waterproofed the new one.Also, Lowe's can't make copies of the keys. One of the keys was bent so I had to toss it in the trash. Haven't tried Home Depot or Ace Hardware yet. Hopefully one of them can create copies of the key.

I purchased the 4-1/2 inch T-handle lock (black) for a storage shed that already had a T-handle lock on it but was missing the key to the lock and the inside "D-handle". So, I purchased this product as a replacement. It was very simple to install....take the old T-handle lock off (removed 2 Philips screws) and put the new handle on. I used the two square bit screws and bit that came with the new handle. (You will have to have screw driver or a drill that you can fit the square bit into....the bit does not come with any type of handle, it is just the 1" bit.) The lock installed easily with the included two screws (same holes as previous lock) and the inside "D-handle, which uses a Allen wrench (included in the kit) to set the set screw. You will have to adjust the D-handle in or out on the stem to get the correct grip on the opposing door jam. I gave this product 4 stars because one of the 2 included keys to the lock handle was received bent. I gently straightened it out with a hammer, but the key metal is very soft and will bend easily. I would imagine that as the lock gets old/dirty/rusty, a key could easily break off inside the lock if you have to torque the key to lock/unlock the handle. I will have extra keys made out of better key blanks by a locksmith....which means additional cost to me, the customer. Otherwise, the lock was what I expected and fit perfectly into the same hole as my previous T-handle lock and works without any other other problems.

I bought this to replace an old shed handle that had rusted. It was easy to install, nice and heavy, and I like the ability to lock it. Nice handle.

For the price this was a very good deal. I installed this locking handle on my wooden outdoor shed. Easy to install. The locking tumbler is a little sloppy, but still works great.

This is not the exact latch that I was looking for, but I could not find it and went with this. I am very happy with the quality as well as the operation of it.
