This is a solid, substantial feeling lock. It has built-in, positive stops in the open and closed positions (unlike a flimsy one I bought that spins all the way around when unlocked). A 7/16" drill bit makes for a nice fit for the lock's shaft. Good quality shed lock.

These aren't the strongest locks out there but they will suffice if you want a minimal level of security. If someone wants to take the time to break the lock it doesn't take long to do, it isn't heavy duty. I don't have anything super valuable in my shed so this works just fine for what I need. Installation is easy, pretty much anyone can manage to install this.

It was the perfect replacement for an old lock on my shed. A key was lost, I only had one left. I tried several times to have more keys made, but the key was so old and worn that I never could get a key made that worked. I ordered this to replace the entire latch. It fit right in where the old one was. I installed it myself in about 5 minutes. It solved my problem.

The lock fell out after a week. The handle fell apart a week after that.

Someone lost the key to my shed and this was the solution, buy another lock mechanism. It fit so well that I didn't replace all the parts, just the T handle with the lock in it and the new keys. All the other old parts stayed in place.If you are installing a lock for the first time, this has a robust latch bar that is definitely secure.
