End caps fit ok, but the opening is much larger than other shifter cable. This can allow water, dirt and other matter to get inside.

Here's the problem I had.Using a Microshift Advent X shifter, the cable cover started the peel off from the wires that form the housing, so much that the shifter cable started to get snagged while upshifting. I guess a smaller cable farrel will fix the problem. Other than that no problems so far, just keep that in mind.

For a budget installation on an old bike, this housing is just fine. The poly liner lets cables pull smoothly and will probably help fight corrosion. Would be five stars if it came with ferrules for the ends. Tigerdog sez "Four Stars"
