Got this to help with grandparents visits. It's made of sturdy and lightweight aluminum. It's telescopic so it can easily retract for storage, and expand for use. The length is perfect so you don't need to bend down. And if you want to put on your shoes sitting down then you can adjust the length accordingly and you still don't need to bend down. This is great to elderly, pregnant women, and people with mobility issues.

I could've used this retractable shoe horn when I was pregnant with my daughter. My belly got so big that I had a hard time putting on my shoes unless I had human help. I like I can use the shoe horn while I'm sitting or standing up to guide my feet into my shoe or boots. I like the twisting to lock the extender in place and that the shoe horn is lightweight. The entire retractable shoe horn is made from a sturdy aluminum alloy making the tool so light that it can be taken anywhere for use. I like the cushion handle and a wristlet that wraps around the hand when in use to keep it from dropping.

This shoe horn is fantastic and of excellent quality. The adjustable rod is incredibly handy, as it can be extended to various lengths. At first, I was a bit puzzled about how to keep it extended, but then I realized I just needed to twist the handle to align the white buttons.The handle is covered in foam, making it comfortable to hold, and the loop allows me to hang it on the coat rack for easy access. The shoe horn itself is made of sturdy, smooth metal, which works wonderfully.It's perfect for my mom and anyone who has back problems or struggles to bend down. I also use it when I’m feeling a bit lazy and don’t want to bend down to put on my shoes. It helps me slip into any pair of shoes that I previously found difficult to get into. I'm really happy with this product and would definitely recommend it.

This retractable shoe horn feels sturdy since it is made mostly of aluminum. Then handle has a nice, cushioned foam grip. It comes with a short lanyard to fasten to it so it can be hung up for finding it easily when needed. The locking part of it looks to be made of a soft plastic inside the aluminum tube sections, so I'm not sure how much wear that will stand. It did take me several minutes to figure out exactly how it locks. Each section has to be turned in order to lock it at full length. I'm not usually slow at learning how to use things, but this one was a puzzle for me. It just seemed to me that there should have been something more sturdy and fixed for the locking part of it. Once I figured it out, it is fairly simple to use and works well. For being mostly aluminum (stronger than full plastic ones) and for the telescoping ability, I think this is a good value.I can recommend this retractable shoe horn. I've been using it for nearly a month now and haven't had any problem with it, after figuring out that locking thing. I have used it for sneakers, boots, and even new slippers that were a bit tight to slip on. I like that it does not take up much space and thus can be easy to take with me if I need to.

It can extend from around 14 inches long to over three feet in length. The expansion and contraction is done via a twist lock system. Twist counterclockwise to unlock and expand or contract the shaft. Twist clockwise to lock things in place. The locking mechanism is easy to use and reliable. The shoe horn has a comfortable foam handle. The shoehorn itself, as well as, the expandable tubing are all made of thick aluminum. This seems like it should last a very long time. If you need a shoehorn that can be adjusted in length and is sturdy and easy to expand and contract, this is exactly what you're looking for. Definite 5 stars.

This is an incredibly versatile shoe horn, as it can be adjusted to just about any length a normal person would need...just twist it and click it. It has been invaluable following knee replacement surgery, when your new knee isn't quite ready to fully bend and extend. It would also be extremely useful for anyone with back issues, and for elderly people who have lost some range of motion. The horn portion itself is made from aluminum and is quite firm, perfect for slipping behind your heel and getting your foot inside your shoe.

This is one of those products that you didn’t know you really needed until you got it. I have busted out the back of so many shoes, slipping them on and having them catch and fold underneath my heel that I cannot count them. However, this makes it so convenient to just slip it in the back of your shoe and slide your foot in. I’m totally sold on this device— especially as I get older and it’s even harder to bend and balance at the same time.

I had a shoehorn years ago and used it. Whatever became of it I cannot say. Shoe stores used to give them away but now shoe stores are few and far between. This item arrived intact and undamaged despite the mashed box. It has a nice thick substantial handle. The stalk extends plenty so bending is at a minimum. I use it frequently on all types of shoes to minimize tugging or squashing the back of my shoes. This shoehorn with an extension handle works better than I expected. Overall a great selection.
