We have very high water pressure, and like most systems, experience occasional pressure spikes. This device keeps the pressure to our RO system within the specified range of 40 to 85 pounds, even when the system spikes to 120# or so.Check your RO specs before purchasing. You will want the pressure a little on the high end to assure the storage tank fills to a good capacity. Using a lower pressure will result in a lesser fill and could affect ice maker operation, if you have it attached to the system.Great device, less than 2 minute install with no leaks.

Worked great to protect the pressure going into the ROES 50 reverse osmosis system, as our water pressure sometimes spikes and wanted to be able to have a consistent pressure and not too much going into my reverse osmosis system

My fridge has been overflowing the ice maker pretty much since I bought it. It got so bad I had to add a paper towel to catch the water leaking. The whole ice maker was frozen.After installing this pressure regulator, fridge works perfect.

Easy to install but the water pressure into my under-sink RO system was 80 psi before I installed the 60psi pressure regulator in-line and, unfortunately 80 psi after installation. So it is going back.

I literally live on the southernmost street in the state of NY that receives fantastic quality, gravity fed water from the Catskill Mountain range 300 miles north. This downhill travel creates 100 psi at our faucets!I recently installed an undersink water filter for our refrigerator water and ice dispenser,and didn’t want to risk the 100 psi of pressure on the intake side of this replaceable cartridge filter,which was rated to accept a max of 100 psi, but I didn’t want rely on this filter’s manufacturer’s rating and risk a blowout in the middle of the night while I’m sleeping, so i installed this 60 psi pressure regulator as a precaution between the cold water feed and the filter cartridge. It’s been 3 weeks since the installation and everything seems fine. Peace of mind is a valuable thing.

It arrived quickly the next day. It really is easy to install if the green supply line already has a shut off valve in place. Simply insert the shock block distal to the shut off valve before cutting the line for the piece to go in. Turn the line back on and voila. No more hammering or fine air bubbles coming from the R.O. spigot.
