I bought this hoping it would connect my 2, 20' hoses together tightly. It has surpassed my expectations. Nice coupler, there's a ring on the outside of one end to lock one hose in place, with Ridgid's lock tabs. The hoses are 2.5" dia, and this coupler works great. I'm currently vacuuming out my attic of blown in crap. With all the yanking, and pulling, not 1 disconnect. I reccomend this for Ridgid shop vacuum hoses.

This is a perfect fit for connecting two Craftsman Shopvac 2 1/2" shop vac hoses. And it is made in the USA!

Works well to join both smooth friction fit hoses together. Also the funny end will lock into a shop vac brand screw on connector. I wasn't planning on using that feature but think it will hold or grab better. Time will tell

Excellent fit on my 2 1/2" shop vac hose. Very tight fitting coupler and the tubes that are inserted into the coupler do not bottom out. Does not pull apart easily, which is a good thing. I used this to connect a Rockler blue dust hose to my shop vac 2 1/2" hose. May be a few bucks more than what I felt it should be priced at, but I would recommend this purchase.

It works for my Rigid hoses, also has a small screw thread that will go into a cut hose if needed.

It should be a simple search, but finding a connecter for Craftsman 2 1/2" hose was not an easy. This has an ID of 2 1/4" with a slight taper for a tight friction fit. Also allows a Dust Right hose kit to connect perfectly.
