My original hose has been kinked so many times over the years and weakened, it was time to replace the hose. This works as the original did. A firm enough plastic to do the job the 2.5 gallon ShopVac can handle. I carry the vac as I go to clean up small jobs, so the length of the hose is ok.

The product seems to be fine, no complaints about quality. However, I have been searching for a while for a replacement hose to my 2.5 gallon Craftsman wet/dry vac. I was hopeful when this one was advertised as having a 1 and 1/4 outside diameter, but the hose does not fit my vacuum because it’s not 1.25†OD, it’s actually 1 3/16†OD. Just a heads up
