While unwinterizig the trailer this year, we noted that the waterpump was not able to build up pressure in the water lines. I have heard that the strainer sometimes can get clogged and should be cleaned at least annually. Well, we found the bottom of the original strainer was cracked and was allowing air into the line not allowing for the pressure to build up.We purchased one from a local RV dealer and decided to purchase a second one for a back up. The part is solidly built and easy to install. Check out any of the YouTube videos out there. It does not come with the Pinch Clamps, and I wanted to change these out anyway to the standard screw type clamps, which work just as good. Make sure you check to see what your connections look like as not all RV manufactures use the same connections. Ours has a barbed end on one side and the standard female connection on the other that attaches to the pump. Great product to have as a spare while traveling.

The very old original strainer had developed micro cracks and was letting air in. This one just scewed on nicely with a bit of teflon tape. No problems since.
