In preparation for selling my house, I had my entire house painted inside. I decided to paint my own baseboards after the painters did the walls. I did it to save money since trim work is labor intensive, and I am on a tight budget. These went a lot faster than brushes and I found I did not have to tape or at least not tape as much. This saves money on tape. It is easier to control these and keep a steady hand when painting near the floor or wall. I bought 3 the first time and just now ordered 5 more. The painting also goes much faster with these than brushes and does not leave brush strokes. I painted for 3 hours after work and by that time I had put enough mileage on it to toss it in the trash, which is possible due to the price. I also was able to save water, since I am on a rainwater collection system. I am a happy camper and now feel, for the first time that I will finish the trim by my deadline which is the end of December. I would buy these again in a heartbeat. For once, something extremely convenient and useful for a very low price.

This is a replacement, refill. Good quality and priced point. Fits your hand for small jobs well. Good paint coverage and functionality.

I don't ordinarily write reviews, but I saw all the other reviews and decided to chime in. This little plastic paint tool is stupendous. It makes painting trim or small areas a breeze. I have paint brushes too- they're im the garage gathering dust.When using this paint tool:- glide it over the paint in your paint tray, don't drown it bc clearly you'll have a mess.- Paint strokes of paint lightly until you figure it out. Gobs of paint are possible if you drown this paint tool thingy.- Last thing (bc I'm not a paint brush salesman,) practice with it for like 30 seconds.The only reason I'm wasting my time writing this review is because this little plastic tool as well as all the other shur line brushes, sponges, whatever, has saved me so much time painting. I painted a 1500 sq2 rental house Twice... in 2 weeks. Gross tenants left stains everywhere. These tools are meant to slip right in to corners so guess what? I don't use painters tape anymore.Practice before deciding it's the brushes fault you're not using it right.

This painting pad used to be reasonably priced. Not anymore. It is outrageously expensive for plastic coming out of China. In the past, you could buy refill pads, but that is history.Bill H

Super easy to touch up or reach problem spots. No drip makes it less likely that I have to clean drips off the floor, thus saving me time. Also very easy to clean so that it can be reused multiple times. Way better than trying to do this with a brush. Even strokes blend right in so you can’t tell that I had to go back and fix something or paint over pen marks that just would not come off.

I used this 2 pack to do the cut work in staining a 120 square foot deck. Worked very well with oil stain, but any knots or screw holes eventually shredded it. I barely had enough material to finish, so if you intend to use these for a big job, plan accordingly.
