I use them to mark damage on roofs. They keep my hands from getting chalk all over them. They are great.

While the product starts off great, over time I find it doesn’t secure the chalk in place as well. I have resorted to wrapping a thin piece of paper/cardboard to allow a sturdier hold. I don’t know if it’s the specific brand of chalk or just the plastic wearing down over time. The thing I like most is that it will keep my child’s hands chalk free!

As a pre school teacher we run through a lot of chalk. This helps to keep chalk in one place plus getting on children's hands. Furthermore, its easy to find the chalk which has been thrown around.

The opening is only 7/8" diameter (claims to be 1.2" - NOT TRUE) and the chalk that is available is 1' in diameter. The only way they work is to sand the chalk down so it fits - that is a real pain and very messy. Once you get a stick of chalk to fit, they work great and keep your hands clean when using. Would NOT purchase again.

My grandkids love chalk but it can be messy on their hands sometimes. These chalk holders helped keep their hands clean while also protecting their hands from scraping on the sidewalk. I would buy these again.
