I admittedly haven't used these for baking cakes at all, but they make very useful ice dams for shorter projects when I'm doing tie dyeing. They stick together well, and since I strongly suspect dyes for clothing are a bit stronger than dyes for food, I can 100% confirm that they resist being dyed funny colours quite handily. It washes right off.

It works perfect for what I got them for. I am using them during a tie dying thing

Good value for money and the quality is fine. This functions very well - but not brilliantly - as an ice barrier for tie dye. It requires clothes pegs or other clips to held the junctions in place and support the edges to reduce ice or snow spillage. For dyeing, a wider strip would be better but this is the standard width and paying more won’t provide a higher barrier. I bought two sets and am trying to decide whether to return the second set or not.

I was really looking forward to getting these for ice tie dye, to hold the cubes. The connections don't stay together and I have to use binder clips to keep them together. I can't see how they work for baking a cake or whatever. I'm sure the mixture would run underneath the molds. (at least the ones I received.) Still use them for tie dye, which they were purchased for.

ThisIs my third pack I’ve purchased. I’m an ice dye artist and use these to make ice barriers. They’re super easy to use and the dye washes right off. I can’t recommend these enough

I haven't used these for baking, so I can t speak to their durability there. They are great for tie dying though.
