I have many pairs of earrings that slip through your ear and hang, after losing multiple earrings. I stopped wearing them. Then I found these little rubber backs. They work great and you get a lot of of them for the price. Now I can wear my earrings and not worry about losing them.

They are small, soft, light, hold the earring posts snugly, and cushion the ends of the metal posts perfectly.

The photos show the length of the rubber backs. Ok. If you don't have the earrings you want to use these on on hand or they're in your ears now or you don't feel like getting a freaking ruler to measure how long the post on your earring is... Then here's what you need to know.... They made these to be the *exact length* of a full earring post. That means there is no room for your lobe. When you get these, if you do not want them to unreasonably tighten (or yank a diamond through your fresh piercing as I saw a lady describe "what happened" to her child), then you're going to need to trim them. That will depend on how thick your ear lobe is. Then you slide these on there and they fit tight and work like a gem.I got some rather large earrings... I usually like screw-on "ball style" backs to my earrings because I don't like to be jabbed in the neck and there are variations in earring types just "how good" that regular back is going to "click" into place on the, generally, two notices on the post. I don't like all of that... None of it... And would prefer to not deal with that at all.So I got these sleeves at the same time I bought some earrings I had no idea how thick or how long the posts were going to be. Earrings generally are the same gauge. So these will be suitable for 99% of what you're doing.I give 4 stars because of the actual trimming process. I actually had to use scissors which produced a rather "uneven" cut for my liking, but it did not change the snug fit of the back once you know how much lobe space you need on your post. I think generally you see some people say the idea is good but the execution is poor. Everyone is going to have different size lobes and some like their earrings tighter than others. But I am reserving that one star for the trim or that you can't just "tear away" sort of the portion you don't want to use, which would look a lot better and not require any cutting of the item to size. That would be ideal. Some perforations. Then you can kind of size them down and figure it out. But as some have stated, they will stretch to the post once you use them so I don't know about applying them, taking them off, and trying to use them again. They *are* rubber so they *should* in theory at least have some resistance on the metal post you are using. So there's that. Also, another "solution" all together is just to make rubber ball backs that only go on the tips of the posts. But then you wouldn't be able to adjust the "fit" in your ear. As I had another set of earrings and the posts, yes, when using screw-on style backs tend to be too loose and if it's a larger earring, they're going to "lean" which doesn't look great or snug. So the whole sleeve is the best solution for all of this but if I was the manufacturer, I would bead up the rubber at the end instead of just the thin rubber sleeve over the post, for "added" protection from the post-to-neck stab type of scenario. So that would be the "ideal" product. If you can find those, then that is a 5 star product.

Worked as expected! Came on time, keep my earrings in place and are moderately comfortable

My ear lobes were getting very infected out of nowhere after having them done for 15 years now. My earrings also kept jabbing into my head at night, causing all kinds of pain. I found these and swapped my earring backs out from the metal to these and what a difference already! Any ear pain/irritation I had pretty much instantly went away. Hopefully it stays this way

Due to old age, getting the backs on to studs is a challenge. Too expensive to have all earrings redone to hang. So these are great. Carefully get them on and can sleep for several nights with same earrings, not being stabbed by stud.

Easy to use, and fit my earrings well! They do seem just a bit longer than needed, but it's OK. I sleep in my earrings all the time, and with these on, the posts no longer poke my neck. They stay on really well too, so I'm glad I got them. And so cheap!

These are so easy to use but the best thing is I can now sleep with my earring in and no poking my head. The fit and softness of these make me feel like I’m not wearing earrings. Great price, quality and exactly as described! Thank you for

Finally you can sleep comfortably while wearing earings. This was a great little purchase. Well worth it. Several pairs come in the pack. I shared a pair with my mother-in-law. Wish I had found these years ago.
