Bought this to melt snow off satellite dish. Works well for that but have to remember to plug it in then unplug it later. Wish the cord was a foot or two longer however.

I've actually been wanting to get one of these for quite some time now and I'm really super glad that I found this one. I have my Jeep Patriot all beefed up and very very highly modified and I have a NOCO adapter on the side of it with a NOCO trickle charger that I can pretty much just plug in an extension cord into the side of my car and it will start trickle charging my battery to keep my Jeep going great and keep my battery good for when I'm not using it because I built a specifically for a certain reason which is off-roading, hunting, fishing, going out in the woods and doing deer looking and things of that nature. I also do a lot of radio stuff with the Jeep but I pretty much exclusively use it for that and when it gets really bad weather out. I had a second plug that I can plug in in conjunction to the trickle charger and I've been wanting to plug in a heater into it and I don't really have a sideboard that I can utilize for putting a heater into the block so I figured a pad would be the next best thing and this thing works very well. I pretty much just cleaned off the bottom of the oil pan very very good and stuck this to the bottom and ran the cord to my secondary cord so now all I have to do is plug in my Jeep when I get home and it will start heating up the oil on the bottom and have it ready to go during the winter time and I can unplug it during the summer time when I don't need it and still keep it going. Overall the Craftsman of this thing seems pretty darn good and pretty on par with a lot of the other heating pads that I have similar to seed mats and stuff like that for reptiles but I believe that this one just gets maybe a little bit hotter. Overall I really think that this thing is a necessity to have on your vehicle especially during the cold winter months and even if you don't have a port on the side that you can plug in to it be well worth the price paid for this cuz you can literally just run an extension cord to the bottom of your car I just like the fact that having the extra Port allows me to always know that when I unplug my car I don't have to worry about driving off with my house still attached. 100% recommend
