After finding out from numerous sources that hard, black plastic cooking utensils are made from recycled material - which could mean everything including the kitchen sink - can be quite toxic. Spatulas in particular were mentioned because the front end is in contact with high heat and can degrade and even melt a little over time, transferring that material into the food you’re cooking and then right into you. I really don’t want computer guts in MY gut! Sooo, these spatulas are perfect to cook with. Silicone on the front end is made to withstand much higher heat, then the strength of the metal is there. So, the pan is safe, the spatula is safe, making us safe. Get a few, or a lot and share! Happy cooking🙂

I ordered these because they were recommended by Wirecutter, but I was dubious that we'd like them. We were converts after the first use. They're great for fish, but they're also wonderful for eggs. In fact, we're using them for just about everything now. I'm really glad I got them.

I like that I can use these with my nonstick cookware. They are very easy to use. The flippers appear well made but time will tell.

It is easy to use and effective turner for many food items. Id give a 5 star if not for the fact that it’s essentially right handed. I am left handed but used to accommodating for this, though would prefer a slightly more neutral presentation. It is gentle on our non stick pans.
