Meh. It works as intended. Gets a little warm to the touch when cooking which I dont like and the fit is kinda loose? Not really what i would have expected for a cooking utensil that handles high temperatures. Could have been designed better... thicker material to gaurd people's hands better and more padding around the opening to tighten up some of the wiggle.

This size hot handle fits my Crock Pot 8-inch enameled skillet very tightly. Prevents pan from rolling in the handle. Besides burn protection, it keeps pan from rolling in the holder and causing loss of control.

I used a cast iron deep pot to cook a roast in a 350 degree oven. After removing from oven, I slid on the holder and it was too hot to hold onto the handle. When I used the same pot on the stove I did not feel the heat.

Look closely at the size and length, and get one that matches your skillet/pot. If you get the right size, you'll be happy. I bought one for my daily-use pan, and since then I've bought a 3-pack of different sizes for others. Great little piece of gear, and it's easy to clean.

I do not write reviews that often, but this time I felt it was necessary. I purchased 2 of the hot handle holders, size large, in red. These are for my Lodge cast iron skillets. I ordered the size that fit the measurement of my skillet handles. I will say that the handle holders arrived on time, were in excellent shape, and in theory exactly what I was hoping for. The length was a good fit and they go on/off easily, almost too easily. They have a nice feel when cooking if I am only holding the skillet handle steady for stirring/flipping/scooping items.My disappointment: There is too much "slip" inside these handle holders. When I try to pick up the skillet after cooking or attempt to pour out the hot contents, the handle holders allow the skillet handle to spin freely inside, causing a burn/injury risk. The only way to prevent this would be always using two hands to tilt the skillet, which isn't always an option. I tried adjusting my hand grip in hopes that the handle holders would grip the metal more, but they didn't. The only option I can see for using these handle holders safely will be to invest in a silicone hot mitt for my other hand to prevent possible burn risks. Currently, I've been using cloth pot holders, which also slip, and that is why I wanted to move to silicone in hopes of it gripping more securely. I contacted Crucible Customer Service via email with my concern. I received a prompt reply apologizing for the concern, and including a link back to Amazon to purchase a smaller size and to let them know if there was anything else they could assist with. This offended me! Spending more money on a size that would be too short for my skillets and not knowing if they would grip any better just didn't seem like the solution to me. I think the thing that crossed the line for me was receiving another email today from this seller asking how I liked the product and to let them know if there is anything they can do for me. I realize that many of those follow-up emails are auto-generated, but it bothered me just the same, especially when the emails were signed by a person titled Customer Service Manager.I am giving this product 1 star because the handles themselves matched the description and are in good shape. I really want to like this product, but the lower rating, for me, is really more toward the Customer Service that I failed to receive. I am an avid Amazon customer and have been purchasing items for many years. Very rarely do I have issues with the products I've received, but there were a few times that I needed to contact the sellers and those sellers were more than willing to make things right. Crucible was not at all willing to offer this same level of service, and I will not be purchasing future products from this seller as a result.**UPDATE**I received another email response from the Customer Service manager and this is a copy/paste of what was written: "I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm not sure what more we can do besides show you that there is other models on the market that might grip your skillet better." I've been in the customer service industry for many years, and this type of reply is a clear signal that there are no good intentions by the seller to stand behind their product or services. So disappointing! The email ends by saying "You are of course welcome to return the handle holders you have if you don't find them useful." BUYERS BEWARE!

Nie bardzo pasuje do mojej żeliwnej patelni, ochroni ale jest za duży / za szeroki na końcu. Szkoda, że nie ma dziurki do zawieszenia no ale o tym wiedziałam....

My cast iron has a small handle, but the mini holder fits my cast iron nicely. You can have the handle holder on the whole time when cooking on the stove so you don't grab the cast iron by mistake, however you should remove it while using the skillet in the oven, which may be difficult as the handle fits pretty tight. It's a bit tricky to put it on or off but it makes it nice and sturdy while you use it on the iron.Haven't had any problems washing it or using on the stove top.
