This mat has a low edge and and edged areas for supplies. It is described as a painting mat, and it comes with a collapsible silicone cup, which would help with painting. I find it good for beading. It works for polymer clay too.I haven't tried it with resin.

Most definitely not just for kids! I sometimes work with tiny 3D printed parts, whether it's painting them, or wiring lights, and they can be very difficult to see on the black folding table I work on. In fact, sometimes I have to lay a sheet of white printer paper down just so I can see the parts easier, especially when I'm dealing with tiny screws that can easily roll away.This mat allows me to see everything so much easier and find any parts that may have left my line of sight. I don't have to worry about anything rolling off the table either, because of the lip that goes around the edges. It's covers a larger area than I pictured it would too. It is a little bit thinner than I was expecting, but I'm not disappointed because it does the job just the same.I do some painting also, and the mixing wells will be perfect for the tiny amounts I do at a time. Another clever feature is the built in measuring tool. When I showed my wife, she immediately ordered another one for herself to go in her craft room. I wish I had this a few months ago during my last project, but I'm happy to have it now!

I am very happy to have purchased this item for my granddaughter. She likes to paint and this keeps the mess contained. IT is easy to rinse off afterwards and put away. The only thing i didn't like was that the water cup is not attached to the mat. Since she is only 2 1/2, she tends to knock the cup over but I remedied that with some hot glue. Paint rinses off easily and keeps the table clean. I would purchase again.

This item has been a lifesaver! One might assume that this is geared toward a younger age group but, both my children and I use it! It's a great workspace for smaller crafts (for me it's rock painting) and the lifesaving part is that it has saved the finish on my kitchen table! -There is still paint from previous crafting adventures but no new additions! I need two more so we can all craft together rather than taking turns! Thank you! Great find! Very happy with this item!

Good silicone materiel.I like that the cup separates for washing/filling. The fold flat feature makes it portable, that's fun.I've taken it to work twice on weekends to work on miniatures now. Happy with it.

It’s does what is advertised. I just wish it was easier to wash the mat stains so easily and remains looking dirty after first use. Even used kinetic sand and it pulled the colour out of the sand stained the mat.

Love these mats, soft, big, easy to clean. Collapsable cups are awesome addition. Less mess and kids love making their own paint pallets. Has measuring lines which is very cool. I bought 3 of these in different colours, love all 3 of them. No issues, no damage, doesn’t stain.
