Anti-tearing
The soft and elastic silicone tube has the characteristics of kink resistance without deformation and cracking, stable high temperature resistance. It has higher tear strength and superior electrical performance.
High transparency
The wall of tube is thickness and high transparency, which not easily turns to yellow after repeated use. Smooth inner surface, easy to flow and clean.perfect for kitchen drinks and brewing. Suitable for most common barbed fittings and connectors.
Non-toxic and Tasteless
Food silicone tube is a linear polymer elastomer containing silicon oxygen bond, so it has high thermal stability.
Anti-High and Low Temperature
Silicone tube won't be hard in low temperature or soft in high temperature, resistance to common acid and alkali.
Silicone rubber is more resistant to heat and cold than plastic and remains constant between minus 70 degrees ℃ and over 250 degrees ℃.

I love that this was packaged so there were no permanent kinks. The tubing has nice thick walls and fits over my 1/2-in barbs very well. This is great for home brewing beer.

I use this and it's 6mm and 8mm siblings for all kinds of connectors between little pumps. It stretches a lot which means I can abuse it and still force things to fit together. It is one of those things that as a handy man / inventor doing bunch of weird things in greenhouse, garage and house that I find it useful to keep some available in a variety of sizes. It seems expensive but it has saved me from having to track down a specialty brass fitting for $20 dozens of times.

The previous cheap plain vinyl tubing just collapsed shut repeatedly. This stuff doesn’t. But it’s rather expensive.

Don’t need this to hold much pressure. Just using it for the in and out lines on a 12v transfer pump. Needed something more flexible than vinyl and this fit the bill. They are extremely flexible! And they don’t just collapse under normal use. I wouldn’t recommend them for pressure applications as they are very flexible and may burst.
