I bought these for rock painting with a small group of kids. I teach an after school art class. These are a nice big size. For elementary age students, painting small images is more difficult than painting a little bigger so I recommend this size for beginners.I do a lot of crafting. This size is too big for a DIY tic-tac-toe game, just in case someone is trying to figure out sizes.

Update - the seller worked very hard to fix my order. They contacted me quickly and assured me that they were sorry my order was incomplete and they would like to fulfill it if possible. They sent me more very nice rocks and I was able to finish the children's project on time and with all the rocks I needed. They are a very honest and nice seller that I will be glad to purchase from again.These rocks arrive in a net bag. They are nice rocks with about 5 being 3 inches, 5 being 2 1/2 inches and the rest being around 2 inches (length). They are very dusty when they arrive and since they were with other items, dust got everywhere. I did wash them thoroughly.My biggest problem with them is that I did not get the full 35 that is listed. I realize that they are only rocks, but I paid for a certain amount and expect to get that amount. If it were any other item I was buying, I would expect to get the full amount of my purchase. If this company shorts every buyer, they are profiting on each purchase. Plus, I needed the amount I paid for because I am doing a project with a group. Now I need to purchase more rocks elsewhere to make up for the missing pieces.If they had given me the correct amount, I would have given them 5 stars because they are nice rocks. But I can't recommend them if I have no idea how much I may be getting.

90% rocks smaller than size indicated.Too small to paint on BUT, was able to repurpose and put them in a fake plant pot where the cats kept pulling out the "shredded paper"

These were sized well clean and easy to paint

A few stones were more round than flat but we made it work for painting. I plan to reorder soon.

Only 33 rocks included in the package. Out of those 33 only 3 were 3" long. I would say a full 50% of them were less than 2" long. They still worked for our project, but I want people to be aware discrepancies in case size and quantity are important to your project needs.
