What is a step up ring ?
- Step up ring also known as adapter rings, allow you to use filters and accessories when use filters and accessories that are different in size from your camera lens.
- Step up rings can be screwed onto the thread of the lens and provide a larger thread to which other accessories can then be attached.
- The first number is always the lens thread size, the second number is the filter size of the accessory, If the first number is bigger, it's a step-down ring. If the first number is smaller, it's a step-up.

Every photographer needs a set of step rings. I purchased this set fro Sioti, after I was pleased with the purchase of one of their other products. There rings are well packaged and very light weight and cover from 49mm through 77mm. I bought these to allow the use of some of my 77mm filters on other lens with a smaller filter mount.

all the adapter rings fit well and work well for all my lens, NOTE: I am also using the......SIOTI 100mm Square Z Series Aluminum Modular Filter Holder.

I keep them on smaller lenses to adapt to a filter holder. A side benefit is that now all of my lenses take the same size lens cap.
