I've had this for about a month now. I bought a Stinger 700 amp to control the bass when it has a tendency to drop out at lower frequencies. I like house and hip hop and this thing performs so well for the money. I originally went with a 12" pancake sub at half the price and this 10" blows it out of the water!!! I bought it for the form factor since I didn't have space for a larger box.

I have a 400w amp running it and I can barely turn the gain up before the speaker loses fidelity but it's still pretty darn loud. 10" version Fits nicely behind the rear seat of my Jeep CJ-7

Bass is thunderous with an Memphis 500.1 Amp at 1ohm. Bass throw is great even with subsonic filtering so lows below 30hz get loss. I still have to baby it as sub isn't broke in yet. I feel over 500 watts would destroy this. Perfect for hatch back vehicle suv closed trunk would most likely sound like crap. Can't be certain but suv or hatchback car or van or wagon is perfect. Bought the 10 in dual 2ohm version. I wish more people would share like this.

After first having a 12" pioneer downfiring sub for shallow enclosures and then a 12-in square Solo-Baric kicker I thought this is about as good as it gets in a Infiniti having a hybrid battery that spans the whole backseat. After trying this 10" Skar and thinking a tube could never compare, I was gladly mistaken! This boy hits hard and deep. No competition type bass but enough that you feel it even at low volumes. Very filling sound. Now interested in what a 12" or 15" could offer.

I had a JBL tube sub 28 years ago that hits harder than this. Sub was properly broken in, but sounded blown by the 2nd month of owning. Pulled it apart to check wiring, but didn't see an issue. Secured sub and kept beating it, hoping it was blown. I guess this finally broke it in, as it actually sounds a bit better. Still isn't as impressive as my old JBL, but it'll do. Gonna beat it till it blows and replace with a compatible sub from another company. For all the rave about Skar subs, this one just didn't impress me. #oldskoolbasshead

works great in a 3rd get Camaro tight fit in the trunk well, but it dose fit and works awesome.
