Son loves the product. He says he can't really tell while skating but once he comes off the ice his legs are tired. It doesn't look to throw off the stride at all. Fits to any skate and easy to put on.

Fit very well on the top of skates love the Velcro and the bungee cord is very helpful for holding on the weight great purchase!

After receiving the weights, I almost wanted to return them because they felt light. I didn't think they will help much with my son's skating. But I decided to have him try for couple of weeks first. He didn't feel anything different on ice with the weights and skates normally without any interference. The weights stay on the skates very well after an hour practice. After removing them 2 weeks later, my son felt much lighter when skating and can skate faster now. It blows my mind that such small weights can make this huge difference. He is definitely wearing them during all of his practices.

On the 1/2 pound had to buy my own straps to wrap around back of the skates so weights didn’t shift to the toe of the skate where as the 1lb weights come with straps .So I liked the 1lb weights better than the 1/2 lb .Need to include straps for both weight sizes.

These work good so far. Got them for my son and has wore them several times at practice. Doesn’t feel their weight at the beginning but towards the end of practice, he feels them. Going to use them all summer at practices and hopefully they help his skating. Velcro is great and super strong. Need to pull them tight and attach Velcro to make sure they don’t move. I purchased the half pound skate weights for my 6 year old. Whenever I put them on pre skate, they look great and appear to be secured. After skating for a short period of time the weights become lopsided and begin moving around. Once he comes off the ice, the weight is basically on the side of foot. It’s a great idea but I find it very annoying that they do not stay secured throughout the duration of his skates. I’ll give it another try or two but these are likely going to be returned.

The Velcro strap holds tight, so tight that removing is difficult after use because there is nothing to Grab and the material is Wet and slippery with ice. I melted about 1/2 inch of the Velcro side of the strap leaving a small tab that doesn’t grab the material making it easy to remove. Works great!
