Worked really well for my 5 year olds first ski trip. The handle helped to get her on and off the chair lifts. I chose this one without a backpack so as to not load her down. We did not use the tether yet as she was still learning but expect to try next year

Good tool to have when teaching younger kids. The material feels thick and durable. The the strap and clip is a bit thin, will put it to the test on our next ski trip.
