  • Skog Bands are an improved version of the heavy duty rubber bands made popular by US Army Rangers. 5col Survival Supply Skog Bands are made from black EPDM rubber, an extra tough material that is stronger and less stretchy than regular rubber bands.
  • The EPDM rubber used in Skog Bands provides excellent durability, with strong resistance to UV light, moisture, heat, and cold. EPDM rubber is also used for applications like commercial roofing, long-term resistance to environment conditions is mandatory.

Having never purchased/used black survival rubber bands before, but wanting something that hopefully will not lose elasticity and disintegrate (only time will tell), my first exposure to these was surprise that they are not as stretchy as "regular" rubber bands. But more stretchy than slivers cut from bicycle inner tubes ;)

Great bands. Used them for a sling keeper for my rifle and for gear keepers on my duty belt. Highly recommend.

They work well, I am using them for securing communications and tactical items. The bands are strong, have reasonable stretch, match my gear. Vendor should avoid adding the fragrance - mine came with a very heavy perfume scent, maybe this was done to cover up a nastier chemical odor.

I had a bag of loose ratcheting straps that were always driving me crazy when I tried to unravel them. I finally rolled them up and secured them with these heavy duty bands. They were perfect for keeping them tidy. Now I'm looking for more things to do with the leftover bands!

I ordered the medium size, because that is what I had ordered in the past, but what they sent me was the equivalent of almost extra small - they barely go around my thumb. I wonder what the small's look like.They previous one's I received definitely last - so that's a positive, but can't get over what I thing is false advertising in terms of size. I only gave a "4" in stretchiness, only because the smaller, thicker ones don't really stretch too much, which is understandable, but I just didn't feel comfortable giving it a "5". Maybe I'm still irritated with the size descrepancy compared to previous orders and even other similar bands.
