My son has CVI and is on the spectrum. Buying toys for him can be a challenge, he needs something to keep his attention, keep his fingers busy, but can't have anything visually distracting or it's overwhelming. The toys have to be big enough its not taxing to look at and solid primary colors or he loses the edges of the shape and can't identify it. These are perfect! I was surprised with the quality of the plastic, I had expected them to be cheap like most standard shape sorters that shatter when they get tossed but these are nice and thick, durable. I was pleased. The only thing that I was surprised by was the size of the bag. In the photo of the product there is a young child wearing the bag like a backpack...that was not our experience. If you read the dimensions for the product those are more accurate to what you will receive. The bag was big enough to fit each part of the toy and we appreciated the easy clean up that mimic'd closely the work he does with his therapists. The colors were bright and accurately pictured, great for him to see easily. The size of the edges of the nuts and the motion of twisting them really encourages kids to develop that pincer grasp which is the basis of most skills they will develop. My son loves traditionally opening and closing the nuts and bolts, but also will fixate on them as a "wheel". He will spin the toy around the axis as though daydreaming but he enjoys the sensation of the movement. I was impressed, this toy exceeded my expectations and I will most likely be purchasing the pegboards as gifts for his therapists this holiday season, or even more of these sets. This is a toy that masters both aspects of being therapy and a toy, enjoyable, yet educational.My son's therapists are big proponents as well, they often pull this toy out of his toy chest to work with him, using it in ways I hadn't considered. Versatile enjoyable toy.

These were wonderful I bought them for my baby when he was one and they were not as easy to use due to age. Now that he’s a little older they are so fun to play with and build awesome motor skills. They are super easy to use and also come with a paper that shows you different things you can do with them. I would highly recommend for someone as a gift .

I got these twice as a gift for each of my nephews, they loved them, were able to easily use them at 3 and 4 and genuinely enjoy playing with them. They're east to clean and I like the bright colors as they're easy to find if they get dumped out.

I am very pleased with this product. I was on the hunt for activities to pack in my carry on bag for an overseas flight to Europe with my two year old. These pieces are chunky and sturdy for little fingers. The colors are bold and bright. My little boy is very much into screwing caps on and off, so this will be right up his alley. The nice little drawstring bag that they come in will not only help us keep the pieces together, but it will double as another activity. My toddler loves to put items in and out of containers. I picked the small set since the purpose was for travel on a plane, but I may decide to purchase the larger set to keep at home or in the car. After our trip this toy will be a diaper bag staple for sure!Side note: Before becoming a stay at home mom, I was a one-on-one aide for children with special needs in inclusion classrooms. I have a degree in elementary education. I think so many of my students would have loved this activity, especially those that had trouble with fine motor activities. I have already shared it with my fellow teacher friends. It is a nice screen free activity!

This was our first skoolzy product. We now have three! We also have the toddler beads with strings and the counting bears with cups. They’ve all been well made and a huge hit with my two toddlers. All of the pieces are smooth and fit well on the coordinating pieces. I like that you can thread them by color or by shape. My 1.5 year old isn’t very interested in them but my 3 year old loves them and likes to race to complete them. My opinion is my own as a stay at home mom and I didn’t get any discount or anything for free!Oh bonus points for the storage tote! This works well for our toy rotation.
