Instruction
- Choose the proper smoky wood chips - Choosing specific smoky wood chips can bring out the best flavor in your grill
- Soak wood before use - You can clean water or vinegar to soak the wood chips to prevent catching fire or use some beer, wine, or apple cider vinegar to spice up the wood chips to increase the flavor
- Placement - After filling up the wood chips, place the smoky case over the grill grate or charcoal
- Seize your moment - When the smoke rises (about 10-15 minutes), please adjust the temperature according to your recipe, and then put the food that needs to be smoked on the grill, and start to enjoy your time!
WARNING
- The smoking box should be placed as close to the heat source as possible
- The smoking box can be extremely hot when in use. Please operate with caution, use heat-resistant gloves while adding or reducing wood chips
- The wood chips should be immersed in water or vinegar for at least 30 minutes even much more than 30 minutes to prevent them from drying out and reaching a fire point before using
- Usually, wet wood chips will take longer to produce smoke

I go thru a number of “Smoker Boxes†and have found this one to be one of the better ones . I like the shape snd size it fits the grill perfectly solidly built hinged stainless steel that won’t burn thru and once the coals are going I actually use it for heat source. I did adjust the smoke flow by drilling a few holes to get more air flow to the coals adjusting to my grill.

With well-soaked mesquite chips, it smokes for a good while, holds a lot, and very easy to fill and dump. Well made and solid. I love it. Five stars.

This smoker box arrived today, and I've not had a chance to use it. First impressions are that it appears to be well made with thicker than expected stainless material. It fits my 2-burner gas grill and I'm hoping it will work to make smoke at low temperatures. One minor complaint or suggestion - the rounded bottom could be retooled to have a flat area so the box would stand on a level surface. As made, it can only lay on its side so filling on a counter or table is not possible without additional support. I doubt that a flat area on the bottom would affect performance.

Looks and feels good quality, however was unable to use with my NEX Gas Grill. After putting on the flavorer bars, there was no clearance to place grates back in place. Recommend checking the clearance of your Grill with the dimensions of the smoker box.

Fits on the exposed burner perfectly, great offset smoke. You will need to be good with the fact that your everyday grill will have lingering smoke since some will get into the walls and lid of the grill, not over powering and will wear off after a few grilling sessions without using the smoker box. Does a great job turning a grill into a smoker.

Very quick this is a good wood smoker/burner. Worked very well. BUT BEFORE YOU GET STARTED!!! Understand that when you soak your wood it becomes heavy. (duh) The box will push the grill's "wood deflector bars" apart allowing the box to fall into the bottom of the grill. (happened to me) SO the fix was to take a metal hanger or slim rod cut and bend a 90 degree "U" shaped rod that fits into the wood deflector vent holes "bridging" deflectors and stopping them from seperating. My grill has SIX deflectors so I bridged deflectors 1-2, 3-4 and 5-6 so I have placement options for my smoker box. You may think that an "upside-down" / smoker box would be better but then you are into a balancing act and much less wood capacity for smoking.
