Fit is correct. My son says they are comfortable. The soles are so hard that they are very loud when walking on non-carpeted floors. Sounds like high heeled shoes.

Update: after about a month of sitting in the laundry room outside with rotating dryer sheets stuffed into the toes the slippers STILL smell awful. And now that my son has worn them for about two weeks they are falling apart. Unfortunately I would not recommend these slippers.I received these slippers very quickly and upon opening the package I was violently accosted by the chemical scent, before even removing the plastic wrapping. The slippers seem durable and soft so I think they will be great. I won’t really know until the event goes away because I won’t even let them be in my house. It’s been days I. The laundry room outside with dryer sheets stuffed inside them and it’s still there but it is fading slowly. Luckily I have time as these are a gift for a few weeks from now so fingers crossed because I want to like them. Hopefully this was a fluke.

Nice solid slipper with sole. Not overstuffed . My grandson has wide feet so the average slipper wont fit.
