Extremely happy with this batting cage! Built it with my 9 year old over the course of a couple days. The structural integrity is excellent, and the netting is holding up well after a few weeks of use. Instructions were also top notch (written by a native English speaker). I recommend buying a handful of extra bungle cables to add tension to create a larger pocket for the batter (to avoid hitting the net with their bat, which is the only thing that’s caused a rip so far). Lastly, disassembly is a little less simple than the video portrays, but just takes some practice. I’ve personally decided to take the net off each time I disassemble, because otherwise it becomes very unwieldy to move the 4 frame pieces around without them falling over on you (once the crossbeam supports have been removed, and the stakes pulled up from the ground, the netting easily tips the whole thing over like dominos).

Product arrived in 4 boxes. No damage and all of the parts were there. The instructions were easy to read and the cage went together with out a problem. It seems sturdy.

Right off the bat (pardon the pun), I did NOT want to spend this much money. But, the more I looked the more clear the decision became. Most other options rely on glorified tent poles and tie outs. This frame is all metal, interconnected, no need for guide wires, etc. Installation was straightforward and easy. I did it by myself but a second pair of hands wouldn’t hurt. As long as the metal lasts without rusting out (no issues after about a year), I will be completely satisfied. You can either go cheap and hope it lasts a season, or take the plunge and buy this one. If you have a kid serious about baseball, and anticipate multiple seasons of use, go this route.

We set up immediately and have been enjoying the set up! My 14 year old is now able to make harder shots within the netting and not hit neighbor houses and in their pools, or chase pucks. A lot larger than expected which is ideal! Set up was easy for my husband and son. Pucks are not going through the netting. Maybe under the net but that is better than a window.

When looking at batting cages for my 2 young boys, I found this one and at first was a little hesitant due to the higher than average cost.  However, after reviewing the marketing materials, pointing out how this cage is heavy duty and twice the weight of their competitors I thought it was worth paying a bit more for a durable structure with a 3 year warranty on the frame. When I put together the frame I was impressed at easy it was to put together and the heft of various parts.  Imagine my disappointment when two weeks after setting up the cage I found it laying on ground with several bent frame pieces as a result of a windy day.  While a little disappointed that we would have to delay our batting practice as the season was just getting underway, I figured well at least it shouldn’t be a problem getting Skywalker to replace the parts since it’s under warranty and I should be back in business within a week.    So I contacted Skywalker support and was sent a form to fill out.  After completing the form and sending pictures of the damage, I was shocked to hear my request for the four replacement parts was denied. I paid almost $1,000 for a heavy duty batting cage that is blown over and damaged by a 25 mph wind only 2 weeks after setting it up, well within the time period to return the item and they are denying me $108 worth of parts.   Why?  It turns out that if you read the fine print of the warranty, Skywalker doesn’t warranty against wind damage.  However, if you read their ad for this product, they boast that “ Ropes and wires are not required to hold up the cage and anchors are included for the feet to support against strong winds.â€Â There is no mention in their advertising that they don’t warranty against wind damage.   It wasn’t until I had an issue that I find out that they won’t honor there warranty against wind damage. I did find that they do inform you of this in the manual receive on page 18, but who reads the manual before making a decision on a purchase. So, take this into consideration if your like me and think it’s worth paying more for a ‘heavy duty’ batting cage.   I have a Skywalker Trampoline that has held up very well over the past 4 years, so I thought this was a company that I could trust. However, after appealing there denial for parts for a structure that fell down after 2 weeks in moderate wind, I realized much to my chagrin that I was my trust was misplaced. For the two weeks that it was up, I have to say it was great. It’s a nice size and worked great. If you decided to go ahead and pay extra for this cage, I would ignore there claim that ‘Ropes and wires are not required to hold up the cage’.  After purchasing the new parts to replace my broken ones, I will be setting a complex setup of cables and anchors to ensure the next time there is a little wind my new cage doesn’t crash to the ground. Don’t be foolish like me and buy into the thought process that paying hundreds more for a heavy duty cage and a long warranty mean anything.

I purchased this in 2019 -- yes, you pay more but it is QUALITY. I had blown thru cheaper cages -- this one has held up well...I'm in California so it has stayed up year-round and took my son thru HS ball and now college baseball. When received, I put it together myself...the structure is easy to assemble. I recommend this cage highly.
